Introduction
“ I challenge you to hope and dream. Don’t submerge your dreams.
Even on drugs dream of the day when you will be drug free.
Even in the gutter dream of the day when you will be up on your feet again.
You must never stop dreaming.
Face reality yes!
But don’t stop with the way things are, dream things as they ought to be
Use hope as a weapon of survival and progress.
America must never surrender to a high moral challenge.
Don’t surrender my friends
Don’t you surrender and don’t you give up!
Wherever you are tonight, you can make it!
We must never surrender. America will get better and better.
Keep hope alive! Keep hope alive! Keep hope alive! On tomorrow night keep hope alive!
I love you very much.”
Words of Jesse Jackson’s speech at the 1988 Democratic National Convention when he ran from their presidential nomination
Definition of keep hope alive
Even if something seems to become more and more unlikely, do not stop believing in it.
keep hope alive
To remain hopeful and optimistic about the future, even though it may seem bleak or futile.
Illustration: MANY Christians believe that hope is wishing for something you are never going to get.
1 Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.

Personal Receptivity For The LORD’s Word
Personal Receptivity For The LORD’s Word
6 Jeremiah said, “The word of the Lord came to me:
7 Behold, Hanamel the son of Shallum your uncle will come to you and say, ‘Buy my field that is at Anathoth, for the right of redemption by purchase is yours.’
The Word came to Jeremiah
Meaning in General Use. In general, hāyāh can be translated with the English verbs “be” and “become,” although stylistic considerations often suggest other renderings.
Come into Being, Happen
The use of hāyāh in the formula for reception of the word derives from the earlier use of the imperfect consecutive as an introducing and linking tense in narrative texts (II.2.b). This also accounts for the dynamic nuance of the verb: God’s word “comes to pass.”
A prophetic word cannot come from God if what is announced does not come to pass (lōʾ yihyeh, parallel lōʾ yābhôʾ, Dt. 18:22). A true word of God, on the contrary, will “surely come to pass” (1 K. 13:32, with inf. abs.).

8 Then Hanamel my cousin came to me in the court of the guard, in accordance with the word of the Lord, and said to me, ‘Buy my field that is at Anathoth in the land of Benjamin, for the right of possession and redemption is yours; buy it for yourself.’ Then I knew that this was the word of the Lord.
9 “And I bought the field at Anathoth from Hanamel my cousin, and weighed out the money to him, seventeen shekels of silver.

Reality Labs is the corporate successor to Oculus, a company that was founded in 2012 by Palmer Luckey, Brendan Iribe, Michael Antonov and Nate Mitchell to develop a VR headset for video gaming known as the Oculus Rift. Before the acquisition, Oculus raised over $2.4 million for the project via a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter—nearly ten times the original goal of $250,000.

9 “And I bought the field at Anathoth from Hanamel my cousin, and weighed out the money to him, seventeen shekels of silver.
10 I signed the deed, sealed it, got witnesses, and weighed the money on scales.
11 Then I took the sealed deed of purchase, containing the terms and conditions and the open copy.
12 And I gave the deed of purchase to Baruch the son of Neriah son of Mahseiah, in the presence of Hanamel my cousin, in the presence of the witnesses who signed the deed of purchase, and in the presence of all the Judeans who were sitting in the court of the guard.
13 I charged Baruch in their presence, saying,
14 ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: Take these deeds, both this sealed deed of purchase and this open deed, and put them in an earthenware vessel, that they may last for a long time.
15 For thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: Houses and fields and vineyards shall again be bought in this land.’

Transition To Close- Multiple Routes to downtown Boston
Illustration: IF I’M headed to downtown Boston by way of the highway, then downtown is my intended goal and the highway is my route. But if I begin making my way to downtown and the highway is backed up due to construction or an accident, the backup interferes with me reaching my goal. That’s no problem. I can exit the freeway and take an alternate route downtown. It may take me a little out of the way or take a bit longer but I can still use the alternate route to get me to my goal. The accident may have interfered with my preferred route but it does not interfere with my goal. Even if I get blocked on my alternate route, I still have yet another route that I can take to get to my same destination. God’s comprehensive will means that when He’s going downtown and when He has determined His ultimate goal, He will always reach that goal. If human beings or the Devil himself create a block in God’s plan, God is never limited to one highway. He is never limited to one route. Now, you know why that’s good news about the will of God? That means folk can’t stop the will of God for you.
The LORD Provides us hope!
The LORD Provides us hope!
11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
12 Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you.
13 You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.
14 I will be found by you, declares the Lord, and I will restore your fortunes and gather you from all the nations and all the places where I have driven you, declares the Lord, and I will bring you back to the place from which I sent you into exile.
Hope For The Unseen
Hope For The Unseen
24 For in this hope we were saved. Now hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he sees?
25 But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience.
26 Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.
27 And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.
28 And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.
Sealed with the Promised Holy Spirit
Sealed with the Promised Holy Spirit
11 In him we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to the purpose of him who works all things according to the counsel of his will,
12 so that we who were the first to hope in Christ might be to the praise of his glory.
13 In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit,
14 who is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of his glory.
Treasure in earthen vessels
Treasure in earthen vessels
King James Version Chapter 4
7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us. 8
7 But we have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us.
8 We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair;
9 persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed;
10 always carrying in the body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be manifested in our bodies.
11 For we who live are always being given over to death for Jesus’ sake, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh.
12 So death is at work in us, but life in you.
13 Since we have the same spirit of faith according to what has been written, “I believed, and so I spoke,” we also believe, and so we also speak,
14 knowing that he who raised the Lord Jesus will raise us also with Jesus and bring us with you into his presence.
15 For it is all for your sake, so that as grace extends to more and more people it may increase thanksgiving, to the glory of God.
16 So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day.
17 For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison,
18 as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.
We have a living hope!- God Keeps Hope Alive!!!
We have a living hope!- God Keeps Hope Alive!!!
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
4 to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you,
5 who by God’s power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
6 In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by various trials,
7 so that the tested genuineness of your faith—more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire—may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
8 Though you have not seen him, you love him. Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory,
9 obtaining the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls.
Close- The Word Incarnate
Close- The Word Incarnate
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 He was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made.
9 The true light, which gives light to everyone, was coming into the world.
10 He was in the world, and the world was made through him, yet the world did not know him.
11 He came to his own, and his own people did not receive him.
12 But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God,
13 who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.
14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.
15 (John bore witness about him, and cried out, “This was he of whom I said, ‘He who comes after me ranks before me, because he was before me.’ ”)
16 For from his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace.
17 For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.
18 No one has ever seen God; the only God, who is at the Father’s side, he has made him known.
1 Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.
