Hope Restored in United Worship

Can I please get a show of hands - how many of you when you said good morning to someone this morning got a response along the lines of “no it is not a good morning”?

Actually before you answer that - just a bit of house keeping - I would like to give permission to all those with their cameras turned off to put their shirts on and turn their cameras back on so we can see your beautiful smiles. But first, please make sure you put your shirts on.

Ok, back to my question - can I please get a show of hands from anyone who got a negative response today or yesterday when they asked someone how their morning is going? Its Ok, I am not going to make you share any details - I am not going to be like the Optus security system that forces people to give away their details. Ok, if you missed that dad joke, make sure you read the news.

So there are not a lot of people out there sharing that they are having a bad day or losing hope - and yest interestingly enough Lifeline receives a call every 30 seconds in Australia. And thats not even including calls to other organizations like beyond blue.

Something happened! (pause)

And that something was really awful - infact one could say it was life changing (MP)

How terrible was it? Terrible enough to potentially cause one to lose hope - thats how bad it was

Lets just say it was bad enough to make a normally logical person start to discover that he has feelings

And, that something happened to me - so I it is personal

But with Lifeline receiving nearly 3,000 calls a day at one pint
