Today I’m going to give you an overview of the rest of Matthew chapter 5. Jesus talks about six issues: Murder, Adultery, Divorce, Truth, Making Promises, and Love. Before we get to those topics, I need to provide a high-level overview of all of that. Because if we don’t understand the context—if we don’t understand where Jesus is coming from, we’ll dismiss His words and miss the overarching theme of forgiveness.
