Revive Us, Oh Lord

Ps.85:6,

Psalm 85:6 (NKJV)

Will You not revive us again,

That Your people may rejoice in You?

Revive - to bring back to life

…we revert back to spiritual apathy (lose zeal, faith or interest).

…rids us of our idols (can’t do this walk alone or ourselves)…it takes God

There’s No Revival w/o ReBible

Can’t be conjured(made)up. It is God @ work…He sends Revival…Not about seats, but hearts.

Praying is not enough, when there’s no obedience.

Purpose: Is to revive us in order to restore our compassion for the lost.

Are We willing to pay the price for Revival?

…because ppl find it hard to come to Revivals, if they’re not being entertained or if there’s no food served afterwards…

*they can’t be Revived if it’s only about God & Him alone.

WE NEED REVIVAL:

Social media is our go-to,

When we read every other book but the Word,

When we make time for outside sports, entertainment, but not Bible Study or Prayer Service,

We we’re not seeing lost ppl saved,

When we are not concerned about lost souls,

When we can harbor unforgiveness while preaching, teaching, singing...

When we don’t want to Fellowship,

When we can be mad at each other & not reconcile our differences.

Nothing but the Word of God can revive us...

*We can’t keep His Word, unless His Word quickens us. (revive/make alive)

Need (lazy, stagnant, fruitless, complacent).

…not to excite us or give us thrills & chills…but to change our hearts.

Revive our hearts…help us to hear, receive, obey & love.

Divine Energy gives us great power to witness.

…once it starts, you can’t stop it because God’s in control.(not by might nor by power but by His Spirit).

Revival - time of repentance/weeping…humbling ourselves, laying down our pride, so we can see the harvest(souls) coming to Jesus.

Ppl are waiting to hear God speak…not an echo, repetition/imitation, but the true, authentic Word of God.

…true restoration, reawaken us w/spiritual passion. When this happens, we will pray fervently for sinners.

Everyone connected to us will benefit, when we are Revived.

True Revival will expand & grow the Kingdom.

Hearts that are in alignment, is a sign of Recovery.

…gets us back on talking points about Jesus.

Seed (Word) is planted (Heart) - God will water through our witness & the sinners will experience God’s mercy.

When our lives are revived, it will produce an abundance of blessings that will cause sinners to inquire to know more about God.

When the Church as a whole is revived, sinners won’t become bored, because the fire & power of God is being made manifest through His preached Word that will grab the hearts.

…when this happens(restoration) we can rejoice.

When we’ve been Revived, we can strengthen our brethren.
