The Victorious Life Depends on What you KNOW - Look at Romans 6:3; 6; & 9

v. 3 - Are you IGNORANT - WITHOUT KNOWLEDGE?

3-5: You MUST KNOW that you Have been PLUNGED into His DEATH and As He was LITERALLY RAISED so we are to walk in NEWNESS OF LIFE (Transition) (vv.

3-4a)

This points back to Romans 3:21-5:2 - He Died For Me —> Now I Died with Him; He Died on Behalf of My Sins —> Now He Broke Sin’s Power Over Me; He Justified me By His Blood —> Now I am to Live a Righteous Life; He Died So Salvation could be offered —> Now I am Saved By His Life

vv 6-8: You MUST KNOW that Our OLD MAN Was Crucified with Him SO THE BODY OF SIN MIGHT BE ANNULLED[RENDER INOPERATIVE] -- SO THAT WE SHOULD NO LONGER BE SLAVES TO SIN (Servants to Negating the Testimony)

v. 6 [physical body(ies) also used of a large or small number of mankind closely united in one society, family, social, ethical, mystical; what casts the shadow]

v. 8 BELIEF IN WHAT IS COMING - First Justification, Next Sanctification, Finally GLORIFICATION

He Died to sine once for all and now lives to God (Two Choices Here)

What Do We Do with the Knowledge?:

1) COUNT yourselves DEAD TO SIN and ALIVE TO GOD (in Christ Jesus our LORD) (v.

2) CHALLENGE sin’s CONTROL - DO NOT OBEY SIN’S LUSTS (v.

12; cf Genesis 4:7)

3) CURB Your BODY in regard to sin and PRESENT YOUR BODY to RIGHTEOUS ACTIONS unto GOD (v.

13)

CHALLENGE:

Too Many of us are IN-BETWEEN - We are are not Egypt, but we have not entered the Promised land - We are Stuck in the Wilderness

Too Many of us are in the Middle - Stuck between Good Friday and Resurrection Sunday - We trust in the Cross but don’t get on board with the POWER of the Resurrection

Too Many of us STATIC instead of SACRED, STUCK instead of SEPARATE, ROUTED into RETREAT by the Enemy instead of ROOTED AND BUILT UP IN CHRIST.

FOR THOSE WHO BELIEVE - SIN HAS NO POWER OVER YOU… except that which you grant it...
