Hag 2:4

6 “This is what the Lord Almighty says: ‘In a little while I will once more shake the heavens and the earth, the sea and the dry land. 7 I will shake all nations, Kingdom

Paraphrase

· Are we in ultimate time? Don’t know

· I know this Kingdom pattern works in a lot of different ways

and the desired of all nations will come, and I will fill this house with glory,’

Define

In fact 9 says what HE’s going to bring will be GREATER than ever before

· Summarize/paraphrase shaking verse

says the Lord Almighty. 8 ‘The silver is mine and the gold is mine,’ declares the Lord Almighty. 9 ‘The glory of this present house will be greater than the glory of the former house,’ says the Lord Almighty. ‘And in this place I will grant peace,’ declares the Lord Almighty.”

4 But now be strong, O Zerubbabel,’ declares the Lord. ‘Be strong, O Joshua son of Jehozadak, the high priest. Be strong, all you people of the land,’ declares the Lord, ‘and work. For I am with you,’ declares the Lord Almighty. 5 ‘This is what I covenanted with you when you came out of Egypt. And my Spirit remains among you. Do not fear.’

In verse 6-7 the Lord tells of a great shaking that is coming to all nations

· But before He reveals that-- He encourages His people

· Be STRONG

· Do not FEAR

I'm in this thing

· I'm in the midst of this shaking

· I'm in the midst of what you're about to go through

· Because in the MIDST of this thing you're about to go through

· I am there with you

For in the midst of this shaking—the desired of all nations will come.

· Jesus, Himself will come in the midst of this thing

· And be revealed

Some of you need to GRAB this
Some of you: there’s a SHAKING
What do I do?
I’m here—DON’T BE AFRAID
I’m going to REVEAL myself in the midst of what you are going through

· And ULTIMATELY—after the shaking and all that goes on

· I will FILL this place with my glory

· And grant PEACE in this place

Yes, a shaking is coming-- but hang on folks

· Because on the other side of all this

· Is my visitation

· My habitation

· Coming to meet you in the midst of your lives

· Hold on-- Be Strong

· Don't be Afraid

· I'm in the midst of this

· And I'm coming to visit you!

Lord your God in your midst a victorious warrior

The adjustment is like fire of God in Malachi

We all go through fire
But when study purpose of fire
Alignment—advancement

When Adjustment starts working on your life

HEART is REVEALED

Good stuff—Bad stuff

Fears get exposed—weak spots
Bad attitudes come to surface
Like refiner’s fire—face of goldsmith

It also reveals GOLD

FAITH rises

Friendship—kids

God reveals your heart in fire/adjustment

You see quickly where you’re faking it
Where you’re real

How many in shaking made you look closer at the way you do your financial life?

Anybody see areas

Where did it God’s way—happy
Other areas—you didn’t—have a challenge area?.......

Adjustment reveals

Adjustment makes me confront my need

Weakness

And it forces a decision

Will I come into right alignment????

That itself is a HUGE decision
Are we going to operate as situational atheist??

God doesn’t EXIST in this area

He’s Lord of my forgiveness

Gotta have that
Just don’t tell me how to run marriage—job—sex life—finances—relationships—time
When in that situation not in RIGHT alignment with God?

You need an ADJUSTMENT

According to Matt 7:24 24 “Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock. 25 Though the rain comes in torrents and the floodwaters rise and the winds beat against that house, it won’t collapse because it is built on bedrock. 26 But anyone who hears my teaching and doesn’t obey it is foolish, like a person who builds a house on sand. 27 When the rains and floods come and the winds beat against that house, it will collapse with a mighty crash.”[2]

Both men went through SHAKING
Why fall???—didn’t ALIGN!!
Not DOING word

Alignment will INTERUPT your life

You will learn NEW WAYS to do life
Develop

OR are we going to walk in KOG

We are people of FAITH

Exciting thing: those that LOVE God
Adjustment causes them to RUN to Him!!
Run to alignment—knows it’s safe

Who are we?
People of FAITH!
We didn’t get here by cowering in a corner

God has good stuff for us—even in this time
I believe God is at work for Good for us in days ahead

Thos who trust in the Lord will be as Mount Zion . . .
In EVERYTHING God is at work for Good . . .

Will I come into alignment???

God can do more with your 90% in your life than you could ever do with your 100%.

I believe there is great provision—blessing for BOC

In fact, I am reminded of the principles of scripture

Whether advancdement of Isaac who became wealthy in midst of famine
Or children of Israel—when Egypt plagues their land was blessed
But key in scripture—came into alignment!

Hag 2: 21 21 “Tell Zerubbabel, the governor of Judah, that I am about to shake the heavens and the earth. 22 I will overthrow royal thrones and destroy the power of foreign kingdoms. I will overturn their chariots and riders. The horses will fall, and their riders will kill each other.

23 “But when this happens, says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, I will honor you, Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, my servant. I will make you like a signet ring on my finger, says the Lord, for I have chosen you. I, the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, have spoken!”

Signet Ring: define

It was INTIMATE part of King’s life
I’m bringing you into greater Intimacy
In the throne room
King’s decree/authority

The signet ring of the king sealed every royal decree

The Ring was treasured--precious

The king WORE it-- it went whereever HE went

It was protected-- for it carried the AUTHORITY of the King

There is an authority in God

That He decrees--proclaims through His people

Let your Kingdom Come-- your Will be Done on earth as it is in heaven

Is a prayer of the signet ring

It is a prayer of the authority of the Kingdom of light

Destroying the Kingdom of darkness

It is the authority of the love and power of Jesus

Destroying the authority/kingdom of darkness

Breaking bondages off of life

Seeing false kingdoms of sin and torment

Overturned by the Kingdom of God

And seeing people RELEASED into freedom
