For the Crossing

Give us wisdom, for strategy. Give us listening ears to your Spirit of where to go and how to go to make disciples in obedience to the Great mission of your church.

Activate in each and every one of us, our gifts to be equipped to do the work that you call each of us to especially to be witnesses to your grace within our own spheres of influence starting with our homes. Equip us so that when every part is working together, your church is built up in love

Give us all the heart and the vision that you have for our community of the Rio Grande Valley and the world. Give us the heart to see people saved and transformed by the gospel of grace and be turned from false gospels of our culture.

Marriages

Protect the marriages of the people of the crossing.

Protect the singleness of those in the crossing as well.

As marriage is under attack, even seemingly defeated, help us to live out God glorifying and gospel-centered marriages. Help us witness to the gospel and its power to transform marriages by being a people who love one another, who confess and confront in love, who forgive, who restore and who grow in grace with one another.

We are reminded in your word that marriage is based on the gospel and is an image of it in many ways. Please guard our hearts and lead us away from all things that could destroy our marriages.

For the children...

We thank you that you are a God who has always included children into your covenants from the moment that you told Adam and Eve to be fruitful and multiply to the “you and your children” promises of the Covenant of Grace.

Even in their infancy, you hold out your promises to them promising to be their God and displaying to them and to us the promises of Grace upon the condition of faith.

Lord we pray for the faith of our children. We pray that as they hear and see the gospel here at the Crossing and at home and in the lives of the community of the Crossing, that they would say, “I too believe in Jesus and want to transformed by him!”

Draw our children to you! Be pleased to use us at home and in the church to share and display the gospel and the life it brings.
