Good morning and welcome to Oasis Church,
Welcome to our Moura and our online family,
It is great to have you join with us today.
If you are visiting with us, we welcome you.
We would love to catchup with you after the service
As we continue with our theme Courageous Faith I would like to set a challenge for us to allow our faith in God to grow. The bible tells us in Hebrews 11:1-2 now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good testimony.
1 Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see. 2 Through their faith, the people in days of old earned a good reputation.
Who wants to earn, not just earn, but be known for a good reputation?
Our Christian lives are built on the foundation of our faith in God; it is the core of what we do. It is our faith in Christ; knowing that He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on a cross, defeated death and hell and rose to sit at the right hand of God. When we accept Christ as our savior, we are made righteous through Him.
I have titled my message: BUT Without Faith.
LETS PRAY
Father I thank You today for Your blessings in our lives. I pray that as we study Your word, our hearts will be stirred and our faith in You will grow and mature. I thank You for Holy Spirit, for the inspiration and the revelation that He brings to us. Amen
6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
God gives us faith, This pleases Him
We seek Him more, He rewards us
The cycle keeps going
Point 1
Faith helps us to overcome
Satan is out to defeated us (John 10:10); he tries to fill your heart with fear so that our faith fails us.
31 “Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift each of you like wheat. 32 But I have pleaded in prayer for you, Simon, that your faith should not fail. So when you have repented and turned to me again, strengthen your brothers.”
33 Peter said, “Lord, I am ready to go to prison with you, and even to die with you.”
34 But Jesus said, “Peter, let me tell you something. Before the rooster crows tomorrow morning, you will deny three times that you even know me.”

Result = BOLDNESS & Supernatural Power
First Revival
Immediately after Peter stands up and preaches with boldness and 3000 people got saved
He goes from denying Christ to preaching with boldness
Signs and wonders broke out
Ps Joshua shared: Whats in your hand?
A time will come when your faith is tested.
7 These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold—though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world.
The testing of your faith is a good thing and for your benefit. It proves the genuineness of your faith.
2 My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, 3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. 4 But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.
Faith to overcome – In the midst of the storm (peace be still)
39 Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace, be still!” And the wind ceased and there was a great calm.
Point 2
Faith gives us the ability to do amazing things
The woman with an issue of blood
43 A woman in the crowd had suffered for twelve years with constant bleeding, and she could find no cure. 44 Coming up behind Jesus, she touched the fringe of his robe. Immediately, the bleeding stopped.
45 “Who touched me?” Jesus asked.
Everyone denied it, and Peter said, “Master, this whole crowd is pressing up against you.”
46 But Jesus said, “Someone deliberately touched me, for I felt healing power go out from me.” 47 When the woman realized that she could not stay hidden, she began to tremble and fell to her knees in front of him. The whole crowd heard her explain why she had touched him and that she had been immediately healed. 48 “Daughter,” he said to her, “your faith has made you well. Go in peace.”
The Centurion
1 Now when He concluded all His sayings in the hearing of the people, He entered Capernaum. 2 And a certain centurion’s servant, who was dear to him, was sick and ready to die. 3 So when he heard about Jesus, he sent elders of the Jews to Him, pleading with Him to come and heal his servant. 4 And when they came to Jesus, they begged Him earnestly, saying that the one for whom He should do this was deserving, 5 “for he loves our nation, and has built us a synagogue.”
6 Then Jesus went with them. And when He was already not far from the house, the centurion sent friends to Him, saying to Him, “Lord, do not trouble Yourself, for I am not worthy that You should enter under my roof. 7 Therefore I did not even think myself worthy to come to You. But say the word, and my servant will be healed. 8 For I also am a man placed under authority, having soldiers under me. And I say to one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and to another, ‘Come,’ and he comes; and to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.”
9 When Jesus heard these things, He marveled at him, and turned around and said to the crowd that followed Him, “I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel!”

Point 3
Faith is Practical
Monday to Saturday
Faith without works is dead.
14 What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? 15 If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, 16 and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? 17 Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.
18 But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works.
Faith is expressed through good works and not an idea separate from real life.
Faith is to produce in us: right living, right motives, right thinking, and right relationships.
Faith for everyday life.
5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
6 In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths.
Conclusion:
As we come to a close of this service today, this is just the beginning of the theme “Faith the Currency of Heaven”. Over this month as we focus on faith I believe it is the word of God that will give you the answers to increase your faith. The bible tells us in Romans 10:17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Today we have looked at Faith the opposite to fear, faith that moves mountains and faith in actions. These are all vital to the growth of faith in our life.
Close in Prayer.
