Lord’s Supper - Come to the table.

1. Bring it all to the table

Luke 21:1-4 “Jesus looked up and saw the rich putting their gifts into the offering box, and he saw a poor widow put in two small copper coins. And he said, “Truly, I tell you, this poor widow has put in more than all of them. For they all contributed out of their abundance, but she out of her poverty put in all she had to live on.””
Luke 21:18-30 Rich Young Ruler
What must I do to inherit eternal life.
Jesus - “ You know the commandment”
RYR - “ I have keep them all “
Jesus - “ One thing you lack - sell all you own give to the poor and you will have treasures in heaven, come and follow me “
RYR - left sad.
Jesus - leave it all for God. Follow Him .

2. Come Humbly to the table.

Luke 18:9-14 “He also told this parable to some who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and treated others with contempt: “Two men went up into the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. The Pharisee, standing by himself, prayed thus: ‘God, I thank you that I am not like other men, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even like this tax collector. I fast twice a week; I give tithes of all that I get.’ But the tax collector, standing far off, would not even lift up his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me, a sinner!’ I tell you, this man went down to his house justified, rather than the other. For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but the one who humbles himself will be exalted.””
