I believe that angels are originally created by God as good (Gen 1:31; Col 1:15; Jas 1:17). Angels are spirit beings but will take on human form to appear to various people (Gen 19:1; Heb 13:2; Heb. 1:4). Though angels are part of God’s creation, they will live forever (Lk 20:36). Angels offer praise and worship to God alone (Ps. 103:20; Isa 6:1-3; Luke 2:13-14; Rev 5:11-14). Angels are magnificent creatures but are not to be worshipped (Rev 19:10; Col 2:18). Angels are holy and innocent of sin (Job 5:1; Ps 89:7; Mark 8:38; Acts 7). They do the Lord’s bidding and obey His Word (Ps. 103:20; Luke 2:13-14; Rev 5:11-14). Angels are personal beings with intelligence, feelings, and will (1 Peter 1:12; Rev 17:1-18; Lk 15:10). Angels are elected by God to bear witness to church discipline (1 Tim 5:21). They are the church’s unseen audience who learn the God’s manifold wisdom in the church (Eph 1:3). Angels do not all look or function the same (Dan 10:13; Rev. 12:7-8; 1 Thess 4:16; 1 thess 4:16; rev 18:1-2; Ezek. 1:5-15; Ex 25:22; Isa 6:2-7). Angels do no marry or procreate (Matt 22:30). Angels do not know all things and can only be at one place at time (Lk 1:26, Fan. 10:12-14; Matt 22). Angels exist to serve God and humanity (Heb 1:4). They bring comfort to God’s people in times of weakness and distress especially God’s messengers. (Daniel 3:6 Psalm 34:7; Heb 1:2). They guard specific places from intrusion and deliver God’s people from danger (Gen 3; Acts 12:15; Ps. 91:11-12). Angels execute God’s judgment on the earth (Ps 34:7; Dan 7:9-10; Acts 12:23; Rev 5:11-14; Matt 13:39-42, 49-50). Angels proclaim the word of God (Luke 1:26-38; Acts 27:23-24) and ordain his law (Acts 7:53; Gal 3:19; Heb 2:2). They guide, teach, and rescue God’s people (Ex 23:20-23; 2 Kings 19:35; Dan 3:28; Dan 6:22; L 16:22; Dan 12:1). Angels were used by God to prepare His people for Jesus’ birth, life, death, resurrection, and ascension (Lk 2:26-38; Matt 28:2-8; Acts 1:10-11). Angels ministered and strengthened Jesus during his earthly ministry (Matt 4:11). Angels will be present when Christ acknowledges or reject people on judgment day (Lke 12:8-9). Angels will surround Jesus when he returns and will gather his elect (Matt 16:27; Matt 24:30-31). Angels are utilized by God to conquer the evil forces and ultimately Satan (Dan 10; Rev 12:7-9; Rev 20:1-3). Angels final destination is with God and His elect and will be still serving Him in the new creation (Rev 21:12).
I believe that demons are angelic beings who were created good (Gen 1:31; Jas 1:17) but chose to sin against God (2 Pet 2:4; Jude 6). They are personal beings with understanding, feelings, and will. They rightly know that God is one and Jesus is the Christ one and know their future punishment (Jas 2:19; Mk 1:24). They fear God and Jesus (Matt 8:28-29; Jas 2:19). Demons are spirit beings and do not have physical bodies (Matt 8:31). Satan is the chief leader of the demons and demons aim to further his purposes (Rev 12:9; Matt 12:24). Their final destruction is in hell (Matt 25:41). They are morally wicked (Eph 6:12; Mk 1:23). Angels convey false doctrine (1 Tim 4:1-3; gal 1:8; Jas 3:15) and perform false signs and wonders Rev 13:12-15; 16:12-14; Matt 24:24; 2 Thess 2:8-10). Demons are hateful, deceptive, and violent in their intentions and conduct (Mk 5:1-5; Matt 17:14-18; Matt 12:22). They are more powerful than human beings (Mk 5:1-5; Acts 19:14-16). Demons are the opponets of God and human beings (Eph 6:11-12). They promote idolatry and worship of demons ( Lev 17:7; Deut 32:17; Ps 106:34-39; 1 Cor 10:20; Rev 9:20). Demons can possess people by controlling and afflicting pain on them (Mark 5:1-5; Matt 9:32; Matt 17:15). Demons cannot possess beievers Rom 8:14-17; Gal 4:4-6; Col 1:13; 1 Jn 3:7-9) however believers can be oppressed by a demon (2 Cor 12:7). Satan influences evil and darkness in the world (Rev 12:9; John 12:31). Satan blinds the minds of unbelievers and are imprisoned by him to do his bidding (2 Cor 4:4).He frustrates the spread of the Gospel (Matt 13:19; 1 Thess 2:18). He tempts believers to rebel against God (Lk 4:1-13; 2 Cor 2:11; 1 Cor 7:5). He delivers sickness, oppression, and death (Luke 13:10-17; 1 Cor 5:5; Heb 2:14. Satan is an accuser of God’ people (Job 1:9; Rev 12:10). He is a Murderer, Liar, and deceiver (John 8:44; Gen 3:13). Satan and his demons will not be offered forgiveness of sin Heb 2:16; 2 Pet 2:4 and Jude 6. Satan and demons will be judged by God’s rescued saints (1 Cor 6:3) During the millennium, they will be bound and thrown into the abyss (Rev 20:1-3; Lk 8:31). Their final destiny is the lake of fire (Matt 25:41; Rev 20:10).
