Revelation 17:13–14 (NKJV)
13 These are of one mind, and they will give their power and authority to the beast.
14 These will make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them, for He is Lord of lords and King of kings; and those who are with Him are called, chosen, and faithful.”
God is the one that calls and choses but he expects those whom he calls and choses to be faithfull.
What is it that God expects from believers? is faithfulness.
The message today is let us be faithfull, becuase those who are with the lamb are those who are called/ chosen and faithfull.
Jesus Christ in the Gospels through many parables he teaches his desciples what he is seeking from his servants (example, The parable of the talents, the waiting Servants)
Faithfull in the Bible.
Nehemiah 9:7–8 (NKJV)
7 “You are the Lord God, Who chose Abram, And brought him out of Ur of the Chaldeans, And gave him the name Abraham;
8 You found his heart faithful before You, And made a covenant with him To give the land of the Canaanites, The Hittites, the Amorites, The Perizzites, the Jebusites, And the Girgashites— To give it to his descendants. You have performed Your words, For You are righteous.
God chose and called Abraham, and then found his heart faithfull before he made the covenant with him.
God appears to Isaac and speaks of Abraham
Genesis 26:2–5 (NKJV)
2 Then the Lord appeared to him and said: “Do not go down to Egypt; live in the land of which I shall tell you.
3 Dwell in this land, and I will be with you and bless you; for to you and your descendants I give all these lands, and I will perform the oath which I swore to Abraham your father.
4 And I will make your descendants multiply as the stars of heaven; I will give to your descendants all these lands; and in your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed;
5 because Abraham obeyed My voice and kept My charge, My commandments, My statutes, and My laws.”
Abraham Faithfull kept the way of the Lord all those years.
God was being faithfull to faithfull Abraham
Samuel
1 Samuel 2:33–35 (NKJV)
33 But any of your men whom I do not cut off from My altar shall consume your eyes and grieve your heart. And all the descendants of your house shall die in the flower of their age.
34 Now this shall be a sign to you that will come upon your two sons, on Hophni and Phinehas: in one day they shall die, both of them.
35 Then I will raise up for Myself a faithful priest who shall do according to what is in My heart and in My mind. I will build him a sure house, and he shall walk before My anointed forever.
This evil was prnounced against Eli and his house because he did not faithfully execute the office of the priesthood.
He was partiall in what he in the law of the Lord
he was very neglectful in his work and neglecful in teaching his house to keep the way of the Lord.
Being faithfull and having the heart and mind of God.
Doing all things according to the desire of the lord and the mind of The lord.
A faithfull person does not have a heart of his own, or a mind of his own. He is fully given to fulling the desire of the Lord.
Therefore, a faithfull man won’t be partiall. He won’t pick and chose what he will observe and what he he will not.
David
1 Samuel 22:14 (NKJV)
14 So Ahimelech answered the king and said, “And who among all your servants is as faithful as David, who is the king’s son-in-law, who goes at your bidding, and is honorable in your house?
A faithfull servant will always honor his master.
The parable of the servants who got drunk while waiting for his master.
A faithfull servant is not selfwilled, his movement is dictated by his master,
David was faithful in Souls house.
God Knews that If David will be faithful to soul, He will be faithful to him.
God need to test us to see if we are going to faithful to him.
Are we Self Willed, are we honoring him in our lifes.
Daniel
Daniel 6:3–5 (NKJV)
3 Then this Daniel distinguished himself above the governors and satraps, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king gave thought to setting him over the whole realm.
4 So the governors and satraps sought to find some charge against Daniel concerning the kingdom; but they could find no charge or fault, because he was faithful; nor was there any error or fault found in him.
5 Then these men said, “We shall not find any charge against this Daniel unless we find it against him concerning the law of his God.”
Daniel had excelent spirit and was found to be faithfull concerining the things of the Kingdom.
Daniel was going to be promoted because there was found no one as faithfull as him in the Kindgom,
Promotion in the Kingdom of God, if for those who are found to be faithfull in the Kingdom.
Daniel 6:10 NKJV
10 Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went home. And in his upper room, with his windows open toward Jerusalem, he knelt down on his knees three times that day, and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as was his custom since early days.
Daniel was faithfull to his God in Prayer.
Not even the penalty of death kept him from being faithful in prayer.
Our faithfullness in prayer tends to change depending our situation.
Revelation 2:8–10 NKJV
8 “And to the angel of the church in Smyrna write, ‘These things says the First and the Last, who was dead, and came to life: 9 “I know your works, tribulation, and poverty (but you are rich); and I know the blasphemy of those who say they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan. 10 Do not fear any of those things which you are about to suffer. Indeed, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and you will have tribulation ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.
