Romans 8:1-18: Our Present Sufferings Cannot Be Compared to our Future Glorification

[Romans 8:18: For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us]. It is not temporary glory but eternal glory.

[Romans 8:1: here is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit]. There is no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus.

Christ works all things for our good.

[2 Corinthians 4:17: For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory]. God has put a limitation on our sufferings. It is just for a short time. Our suffering is for a limited time when we are on earth. Suffering is for our good---to conform us. Suffering can be verbal or physical. As believers, we suffer for our faith in Christ. We suffer that we might be conformed to his image.

Jesus Christ suffered the most.

[Romans 8:17: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together]. We suffer with Christ that we may be also glorified together. We suffer for our faith in Christ. We will be glorified when we get to Heaven.

[John 14:1-3: Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also]. What we see now is temporal. What we do not see is eternal. The best is yet to come. It will be glorious later. Philippians 1:21: For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.

[Romans 8:39: Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord]. We may die, but we are not separated from Christ.

[Revelation 7:9-12: After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb. And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God, Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen]. We are going to be praising God for ever and ever.

[Revelation 7:15-16: Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them. They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat]. It will be a place of service and comfort.

Titus 2:13: Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ. I Thessalonians 4:13: But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. I Thessalonians 4:17: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

The tribulation is for Israel and not for the “Church.”

Our suffering is for a moment compared to eternity. We suffer for what we do not see. By faith we will be praising God in song in Heaven. We will serve God day and night. We will be comfortable all the time. There will be no more tears. We will be at the marriage supper of the Lamb. We look forward to the rapture if Christ comes before our physical death on earth. If we die first, we go to be with the Lord. Either way we are with the Lord. Glorification is our future benefit of salvation. No more sin. Hallelujah.
