Telos- There are 3 aspects of Sanctification that propel us forward into God’s amazing plan.

Alignment is challenging to attain, and difficult to maintain.

Intro dilemma, or problem. Establish common ground.

It is God’s Divine Plan to Sanctify you Completely

1 Thessalonians 5:23–24 NKJV

Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it.

Now, may the God of peace himself consecrate you, every part of each one of you, to His worship and service, and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved in their entirety blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Faithful is He who gives you the divine summons [into salvation], who also will do it.

God Created us with a spirit, soul, and body for His eternal purpose.

Genesis 2:7 NKJV

And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.

True sanctification is an entire conformity to the will of God.

We are born again sanctified, just like when we are born in the US, we are a citizen.

“dead in your offenses”— Through the fall, our God-contacting spirit was deadened—losing its function to contact God—Eph. 2:1.

“enemies in your mind”— Our soul, especially our mind, was contaminated and became at enmity with God—Col. 1:21.

“body of sin”— Our God-created body was ruined and became a body of sin and death unable to fulfill God’s purpose—Rom 6:6; 7:24.

We Need Three Levels of Sanctification

1. Born of the Spirit

John 3:6 NKJV

That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

2. Transformed through the Renewing of our Minds

Romans 12:2 NKJV

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

3. Transfigured in Body (Phil. 3:17-21)

Philippians 3:21 TPT

who will transform our humble bodies and transfigure us into the identical likeness of his glorified body. And using his matchless power, he continually subdues everything to himself.

Receive the Lord Jesus as your Savior!

But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him.

Set your mind on the Spirit through growing in the Word.

For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

Ephesians 5:26 NKJV

that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word,

Exterminate the practices of a fallen body.

Romans 8:13 NKJV

For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.

You have to believe those actions have to go.
