God Loves You
He always has and always will.
Remember this!
Introduction:
My name is Craig Nalls, Hospital Chaplain at Tift Regional, 9 yrs.
I met Jean before COVID.
I believe the first time was when she was in the Step Down unit, maybe room 3505. I can remember talking to her and getting to know her a little.
My visits with Ms Jean were short visits. She would ask for a prayer.
When I visit patients, I always let the patient who will talk to me, lead the conversation.
If they bring up talking about death or dying I usually ask them if they’re prepared to meet God.
One of the visits with Ms Jean did include this conversation . Ms Jean told me she was prepared.
If a person has uncertainty about whether they are prepared or not I will usually ask a few basic questions.
? God
? Bible
? Jesus
? Peace with God
? Peace with yourself
? Peace with others
Then using John 3:16 as a basis of talking about a relationship with God through His Son Jesus. We discuss how to prepare for death and eternal life.
At this time in a patients life, I trust that what the patient is telling me is true. That they are being honest with themselves, with me, but most of all honest with God.
God knows whether the person is saved and going to live with him, and I believe that the person knows .
EMPHASIZE: When your in the H with a Life Limiting illness, it is time to take a very serious evaluation of your relationship with God.
DON”T WAIT THAT LONG!
COVID19
Last Days
No one knows how much time we have left.
It’s too late if we are in the H on a ventilator and the Dr says to the family, “there is nothing else that we can do.”
Not trying to scar you, but with compassion and concern, that there are a lot of people who are not prepared spiritually to die and meet God. We have to make that decision personally and while we are alive and able.
Are you trusting in Jesus only for your salvation and forgiveness of sin?
Ephesians 2: 8,9 For by grace are you saved through faith, and that not of yourself, it is the GIFT FROM GOD, NOT OF WORKS, LEST YOU WILL DIE.
DEATH IS:
Eternally separated from God and your loved one who have accepted Jesus as Savior and Lord.
Jesus said, I am the way, the truth and the life, no one comets to Father but by me. The only way to heaven is by accepting Jesus only as Saviour for our sin.
The days we are living in are definitely days of uncertainty.
We don’t know what tomorrow holds for anyone of us.
(QUESTIONs)
ARE WE READY?
ARE YOU READY PERSONALLY TO MEET GOD?
You have time and you have this moment in time to ask yourself, am I ready?
Do you remember what I said at the beginning?
God loves you. He always has and he always will
Have you responded to His love?
John 3:16 ““For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.”
It is simple as ABC.
As you realize God’s love
1- admit your a sinner
2- believe that Jesus died for your sin
3- confess your sin to God
Accept what Jesus did when He died on the cross for you.
Turn away from sin and make Jesus Lord of your life. Give Him control and allow Him to live His life through you.
Receive Him into your life. His Holy Spirit will guide you as you submit your self to Him.
Will you pause and consider your relationship with God before it is too late.
Today is the day of salvation.
Don’t put it off any longer.
Remember God loves you, He always has and always will.
