Understanding The Roles

The role of the women: The heart of mature femininity is a free disposition to affirm, receive, and nurture the strength and leadership of worthy men in appropriate manners in the different relationship of women.

The role of the man: The heart of mature masculinity is a sense of benevolent responsibility to guide, provide, and protect women in appropriate manners in the different relationships of men

My role as wife of a pastor: In a marriage you will find the most intimate relationship between men and women(Gen.

2:20-25).

One must understand then that your husband is you head of you and your family(1 Corinthians 11:3, Ephesians 5:23).

As a pastor God has also called him to a very similar role to care for God’s church(1 Timothy 3:5, 1 Peter 5:1-3).

This means we as pastor’s wife we are called to be the helper of him as a role of husband, father, and pastor.

Challenges Pastor’s Wife Face

As a wife you have been made one flesh with your husband.

These means that in part you at the same time are put in the spot light because he is the pastor of the church, but at the same time you have been placed in a position where you live in the shadow that is cast by the calling God has place on your husband.

This presents challenges that one must overcome in the power of Christ thru the Holy Spirit.

We have God’s word to guide us on how to respond to these challenges
