43 “When an unclean spirit goes out of a man, he goes through dry places, seeking rest, and finds none.
44 Then he says, ‘I will return to my house from which I came.’ And when he comes, he finds it empty, swept, and put in order.
45 Then he goes and takes with him seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter and dwell there; and the last state of that man is worse than the first. So shall it also be with this wicked generation.”
there are evil spirits.
If they can’t be in you, they can’t even rest! They long for being in you. They work tirelessly to be in you, to torment you, to
Look what the evil spirit calls the man! His “house”!
He comes back and examines the man, finds him ready, then gets seven spirits more wicked than himself!
3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh.
4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds,
5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,
6 and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.
No matter what: if you find yourself under attack, it is not fleshly! We DO NOT war according to the flesh!
The enemy is trying to get in!
Look at what our “weapons” do!
This evil Spirit doesn’t just find the man swept and put in order. He finds him EMPTY!
This means, we can be empty!!!
So what is our weapon? We have to be filled!
See, God doesn’t leave room for other guests! He takes up all the space! He FILLS you!
Sure maybe you can fit 8 evil spirits in you, but all you need is one of God!
