Judah had been the one who suggested selling Joseph into slavery. Now he is pleading for Benjamin to go free! He was so in earnest that he asked to take Benjamin's place. Judah's descendant the Lord Jesus Christ taught there is no greater love than to lay one's life down for one's friends. The Apostle Paul reminds us that Christ laid his life down for sinners, and this shows us God's love for all time. Let us not fail to receive Christ's love (and give it, too).
