Words have power

“Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me”
Yet words have power
Romans 10:8–9 CSB
On the contrary, what does it say? The message is near you, in your mouth and in your heart. This is the message of faith that we proclaim: If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
the message is in your heart-
Luke 6:43–45 CSB
“A good tree doesn’t produce bad fruit; on the other hand, a bad tree doesn’t produce good fruit. For each tree is known by its own fruit. Figs aren’t gathered from thornbushes, or grapes picked from a bramble bush. A good person produces good out of the good stored up in his heart. An evil person produces evil out of the evil stored up in his heart, for his mouth speaks from the overflow of the heart.

Words Produce things in our life

What we believe we speak into existence in our live
What we believe will flow from our hearts
We confess what we believe- Our lives are dictated by what we believe
Some of us have been confessing the wrong this about our lives:
I am not good enough
i will never be loved
i am depressed
How often do we confess the promises of God over our lives?
No we confess the bad things that other tell us
or believe the lies that our lives cannot change, don’t matter, or the situation will never change
“what will be will be” attitude
Cause out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks
Faith Matters- Faith is assurance, and faith is what we believe to the point of we build our lives on it.
God word
Other’s thoughts and opinions
What do you believe? It will be evident by what you confess and how you live it out
We confess with our mouths what we believe in our hearts
What we believe about God we confess
What we believe about who we are we confess
What we believe about God’s promises and plans for our lives we confess
Do I trust God?
Do I trust His word?
Do I know Him?
Do I trust His plans for my life?
Is God actually Good?
The answer is evident by your live
Proverbs 3:5–6 CSB
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own understanding; in all your ways know him, and he will make your paths straight.
Trust comes through relationship-
Psalm 59:17 CSB
To you, my strength, I sing praises, because God is my stronghold— my faithful God.
This is a confession - God is Faithful to me, He is my strength
That is why I sing His praise- Declare the good things He does
some promises that we can confess
