SERMON ON SALT & LIGHT OF THE WORLD.

SCRIPTURE READING….. MATHEW 5:13 -16 ,,Luke 14:34-35 ,Phil 2:12-18, Mark 9:49

INTRODUCTION……

WHAT DOES GOD MEAN WHEN HE SAYS HE’S LIGHT , YE ARE LIGHT ?

The Greek word for Light is P hos, any and every form of light. Metaphorically, God is light because light has an extremely pure, brilliant quality. Light can be seen by any and all. Darkness hides, conceals, and covers, while light exposes truth. Light is powerful and far-reaching, able to illuminate everything.

Psalm 119:130

The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.

“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”

Our behaviors to neighbors around us , church members, co -workers, your response , your love, your welcoming or unwelcoming attitude are being studied by everyone you come across.

It will be difficult to portray yourself as a light when your attitude reflects darkness.

This happens in almost all churches either Pentecostal/Gospel or White garment churches. Brethren reaping each other off, fighting for positions in the house of God, some even will go to the extent of contributing bigger money to the church in order to be recognized as an elder, yet they are not christ like and their light is so deem, who is fooling who? .Fornication, snatching of boy or girl friends sometimes causing disagreement, Yet this set of believer’s claim to be a shining light, the truth of the matter is the type of behavior does not line up with the word of God but darkness.

I figured out that’s why God says my judgment will start from the house of God.

1st Peter 4:17

For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

SALT AMONG MEN

Mark 9:49-50

For every one shall be salted with fire, and every sacrifice shall be salted with salt.

50

Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his saltness, wherewith will ye season it? Have salt in yourselves, and have peace one with another.

Some of us are so proud that we can not respect any one, we can not fellowship with others except they have to do things as we dictate to them, yet respect they say is reciprocal.

We can quickly get annoyed for little things, claiming titles that do not qualify us before God,not even with men since it is difficult to maintain a peaceful relationship with others.

Are you a sacrifice to God or a salt that has lost its taste?, ask yourself this question and make proper adjustment in alignment with the scripture.

Psalm 37:37 Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace.

WORDS FROM THE BOOK OF THE ELDER’S !!!!!

1.People are not what they say but what they do: so judge them not from their words but from their actions !!!

2.When someone hurts you, don't feel bad because it's the law of nature that the tree that bears the sweetest fruits gets the maximum number of stones. !!!

3.It is not what you don't have that limits you: it is what you have but don't know how to use. !!!

Message….

In any sport event, it is noticeable that the louder side are mostly winning the game. Most of the so-called Gospel or Pentecostal Churches are committing atrocities that are sometimes worse than what is going on in the white garment churches but because they are louder many see them as saints.

The white Garment churches need to open their mouths wide for evangelism with boldness as Light, especially the new generation of ( CHERUBIM AND SERAPHIM MOVEMENT CHURCHES).

These churches are not different from Gospel and Pentecostal churches even better with more Spiritual enhancement and Later days Apostolic Revelations.

If anyone should ask you questions regarding the mode of worship in Cherubim and Seraphim , be bold to tell them that everything we do is according to the Bible.

Why do we bow down 3 times in the Church ?

Answer..is found in Rev 4 :10 ,Rev 5, Psalm 95

Why do we take off our shoes in the church ?

Answer is found in Exodus 3:5

Why do we wear white garments ?

Answer is found in Rev 7 :14

Why do we light seven candlesticks in the church ?

Answer is found in Rev 1:20

Why do we clap our hands for God

Answer is in Psalm 47:1

Why do we use incense in the church ?

Answer is found in Lev 5, 6

Why do we anoint ourselves ?

Answer is found in the book of James 5:14.

OUR TESTIMONIES.

Giving testimonies should reveal the amount of the Light of God’s word’s in our life.

We Should not be moved by our emotions,feelings,or current situations.

Elijah and Elisha & The Shunammite Woman.

2King 4:18-21 , 34-37

And when the child was grown, it fell on a day, that he went out to his father to the reapers.

And he said unto his father, My head, my head. And he said to a lad, Carry him to his mother.

And when he had taken him, and brought him to his mother, he sat on her knees till noon, and then died.

And she went up, and laid him on the bed of the man of God, and shut the door upon him, and went out.

And she called unto her husband, and said, Send me, I pray thee, one of the young men, and one of the asses, that I may run to the man of God, and come again.

And he said, Wherefore wilt thou go to him to day? it is neither new moon, nor sabbath. And she said, It shall be well.

Then she saddled an ass, and said to her servant, Drive, and go forward; slack not thy riding for me, except I bid thee.

So she went and came unto the man of God to mount Carmel. And it came to pass, when the man of God saw her afar off, that he said to Gehazi his servant, Behold, yonder is that Shunammite:

Run now, I pray thee, to meet her, and say unto her, Is it well with thee? is it well with thy husband? is it well with the child? And she answered, It is well.

And he went up, and lay upon the child, and put his mouth upon his mouth, and his eyes upon his eyes, and his hands upon his hands: and he stretched himself upon the child; and the flesh of the child waxed warm.

Then he returned, and walked in the house to and fro; and went up, and stretched himself upon him: and the child sneezed seven times, and the child opened his eyes.

And he called Gehazi, and said, Call this Shunammite. So he called her. And when she came in unto him, he said, Take up thy son.

Then she went in, and fell at his feet, and bowed herself to the ground, and took up her son, and went out.

Conclusion… I would like to conclude with the easther band anniversary in relation to the salt and light of the world.

Mordecai says in Esther 4:14, “For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?” Mordecai is reinforcing the meaning for Esther’s existence. God has love for the Jewish people and didn’t create beauty and subtlety only for Esther – His creation and work was for all people. However, Mordecai is saying that God has a divine plan for everyone and everything. Therefore, He believes Esther was placed into a royal position in order to assist the delivery of God’s work.

She was not just an ordinary woman but a light shining out of darkness.

You have also been saved , but Esther did an historical thing that we can emulate today. Esther rose up for a godly purpose in her lifetime.We can emulate her way of life in a way that our light may shine among brethren and that our salt may not lose savor among men.

Let us pray,

Lord Jesus, walk back into every second of my Life and deliver me, where I need deliverance,heal me where I need healing,transform me where I need transformation. Amen in Jesus name.
