Cultivating Community
Reasons why we hide: Insecurities, the fear of people, regrets, failures, and résumés.
We were not designed to live a life in hiding.
Why “Cultivating Community”?
John 15:12 ESV
“This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.
John 15:13 ESV
Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.
Hebrews 10:24 ESV
And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works,
Hebrews 10:25 ESV
not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.
Questions to ask:
What are some of the reasons of why I tend to hide from others?
In light of what the Bible teaches, are these reasons justifiable?
Can you identify the people in your lives that stir you up to love and good works?
What needs to happen for you to commit yourself to cultivating community?
