Recap:

Seedtime in Gen 8:22 one word
Our purpose 2. Time and seasons
Last time good environment to grow.
One of the major things they need is time.
Impatience can cause seed loss.
Seedtime if I could provide a definition is very simple. It is the time or season in which seeds are planted.
Certain seeds in certain seasons
Being a cashier at TS I was asked a lot about seeds. I didn’t have knowledge today I have some knowledge on the spiritual ones. I believe I make a better spiritual farmer than a physical one anyways!

Intro:

What is Time?

-It is a Asset we are all given.
-We cannot purchase or recieve more of it.
-We cannot control it.
We all want more of it
-All created things are subject to it except the creator Himself. He can keep the sun from going down!
Joshua 10:12–13 (NKJV)
Then Joshua spoke to the Lord in the day when the Lord delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel:
“Sun, stand still over Gibeon; And Moon, in the Valley of Aijalon.” So the sun stood still, And the moon stopped,
Till the people had revenge Upon their enemies.
Is this not written in the Book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and did not hasten to go down for about a whole day.
-We all have the same 24 hours in a day. Americans spend almost an equivalent time watching TV and entertaining themselves in a week as they do at work.
-We are all only given a specific, unique time to us.
I am reminded of a music video where a man could see the amount of time each person had above their heads as a count down and he was to save someone who was about to die. Once he saved this woman that ability was transferred to her.
-The enemy want’s to conivince us that our role is small, insignificant, or unecessery, it is very necessary when we realize our responsiblity as a believer.
-We are given the time we have for a reason. When we are saved we have a responsibility .
-God works with time, but is not inhibited by it.
- As farmer in the fields of this earth we must understand seasons, and what season we are in spiritually.

The Past:

The Jesus Movement 60s-70s

Some say the time for revival is over
People come to Christ when they realize their helplessness on their own.
The reason it is that it is difficult for a rich man to enter heaven is not due to money but the pride it causes.
Some seasons are harder than others.
God makes all things work together for good. Including the current climate and season.
Think about the theif on the cross or the fastest growing church in the world, which is the underground church.
Difficult Times = Revival
During the Jesus Movement there was many things going on in our cultural climate.
-The 1960s were one of the most divisive decades in world history, marked by the civil rights movement, the Vietnam War, riots, and antiwar protests, political assassinations including John F Kennedy.”
-It wasn’t until the 1960s that an official Satanic church was formed by Anton LaVey.
I pray that we in the US don’t have to be humbled
Matthew 24:14 (NKJV)
And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.
No one can say when
One thing is true if the end hasn’t come there is much work to be done.
The time and season to share God’s word, plant seeds. and be witnesses for him has not ceased.
Acts 1:7–8 (NKJV)
And He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority. But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
If its not for us to know what must we do?

The Present:

1.Stay Vigilant Be a Witness

The vision will take time.
-Our timing system is not God’s
-We are so impatient:
Think about drive throughs, fast food, 5g,
I am not worried about this ministry. God has his own timing it is up to us to do our best with what He has given us.
Since we are all given the same time in a day, we must do what we can with what we are given
Its not that there isn’t enough time its that our priorities are off kilter
Keep your Relationship in Check
Matt 24:44For this reason you also must be ready, because the Son of Man is coming at an hour that you do not think he will come.”
What kind of witness are you?
Are you a credible witness? It’s not just the words you say but the life you live.
The reason many people aren’t saved are due to the Christians they have encountered

2. Do your work

It is a shame for your master to come back and the work not done.
Perhaps you were made for such a time as this.
The Time is now
Ecclesiastes 3:2(NKJV)
A time to be born, And a time to die;
A time to plant, And a time to pluck what is planted;
It is time fore us to plant seeds!
A time will come when you cannot work. Either due to your own passing or due to Jesus coming back.
You must work while you can!
John 9:4 (NKJV)
I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work.
Billy Graham once said: “ Spend more time in study and prayer. That’s the secret to successful evangelism”

3. Not all will Go with you.

We are all on the same bus, some will decide to get off before we reach the destination. They may decide the journey is too long, too treacherous, they may loose faith in the driver.
Their decisions. Even Jesus’ disciple Judas decided not to go with him
Their time- Death
God will ask YOU for an account
Matthew 24:45–50 (NIV)
“Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom the master has put in charge of the servants in his household to give them their food at the proper time? It will be good for that servant whose master finds him doing so when he returns.
Truly I tell you, he will put him in charge of all his possessions. But suppose that servant is wicked and says to himself, ‘My master is staying away a long time,’ and he then begins to beat his fellow servants and to eat and drink with drunkards. The master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he is not aware of.

The Future:

Keep Your Eyes on the Future

Focusing on the past keeps you from the future.
Dont miss out on what God is doing now by focusing on the past.
Isaiah 43:18–19 (NKJV)
Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old.
Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it?
I will even make a road in the wilderness
And rivers in the desert.
Dwelling on Past Accomplishments
Dwelling on Past Failures

Closing:

We are in a season, of revival

Look at the climate and season, it is time to continue working or begin.
Galatians 6:9 (LEB)
And let us not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap, if we do not give up.
Do not be discouraged by what is going on in this world, rather be encouraged that God is making it work for good and His glory.
