Mylee - wanted us to sing it when she came back from Hope hills and I said no, I didn’t think it would be a good church song if we didn’t understand what we were sing about.

This song is rich in scripture and deep in meaning

Purpose in Your plan

We sing about Christ being all that we need.

We talk about Christ being all that we need.

Do we truly believe it.

Psalms 81

Honey in the Rock

Psalms 81:5 “He made it a decree in Joseph when he went out over the land of Egypt. I hear a language I had not known:”

Psalms 81:10 “I am the Lord your God, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt. Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it.”

Psalms 81:16 “But he would feed you with the finest of the wheat, and with honey from the rock I would satisfy you.””

God took care of Joseph threw his life Joseph relied on God to fill him.

If you open your mouth and your heart wide God will fill you, satisfy you with the sweet Honey from a Rock

Psalms 81:7 “In distress you called, and I delivered you; I answered you in the secret place of thunder; I tested you at the waters of Meribah. Selah”

Water in the Stone

Exodus 17:1-7

God moved the people on threw the wilderness

He had them camp by a place that had no water to test them.

They gripped, they were going to die.

Exodus 17:3 “But the people thirsted there for water, and the people grumbled against Moses and said, “Why did you bring us up out of Egypt, to kill us and our children and our livestock with thirst?””

God tells moses take your staff and strike the Stone

Water in the Stone

God showed all of the Elders of Israel and the people He can provide.

What do you do when you don’t understand whats going on or God moves you into something that seem scary, How do you react.

When God freed them from slavery and Egypt sent them away all was good. until the get to the red sea and Pharo’s army is on there heals What did they do.

The Red Sea

Exodus 14:10-12 “When Pharaoh drew near, the people of Israel lifted up their eyes, and behold, the Egyptians were marching after them, and they feared greatly. And the people of Israel cried out to the Lord. They said to Moses, “Is it because there are no graves in Egypt that you have taken us away to die in the wilderness? What have you done to us in bringing us out of Egypt? Is not this what we said to you in Egypt: ‘Leave us alone that we may serve the Egyptians’? For it would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than to die in the wilderness.””

Moses response - Fear not, Stand firm, and see the salvation of the Lord.

The Lord will fight for you and all you have to do is to be silent

God Response to Moses - Lift up your staff and part the red sea

I will harden Pharaoh heart and they will chase you.

I will get Glory over Pharaoh

Exodus 14:18 “And the Egyptians shall know that I am the Lord, when I have gotten glory over Pharaoh, his chariots, and his horsemen.””

Remember: when you find your self helpless with no good out come. God could be showing someone else His Glory threw your situation. You don’t have to understand the situation you Just have to Remember there is Water in the Stone

Manna on the Ground

Exodus 16

after the red sea.

the found bitter water and God made it sweet (threw log into it)

they were in the wilderness between Elim and Sinai

it had been month and 1/2 since the left egypt.

Exodus 16:3 “and the people of Israel said to them, “Would that we had died by the hand of the Lord in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the meat pots and ate bread to the full, for you have brought us out into this wilderness to kill this whole assembly with hunger.””

God responds - I will rain down bread from heaven in the morning and quail in the evening

You go gather it,

Get just enough for today

on the 6th day get double portions, so you have some for the sabot

so listened some didn’t

The Illiterates called the bread Manna - it was like coriander seed, white and tasted like a wafers made with honey.

Fast forward to John 6

Jesus feed the 5,000 - disciples dont think they can feed them

Sends disciple away to the other side

walks on water to get their boat disciples are scared

Crowd finds out he has gone they look and find him.

Read John 6:25-35

Before God gave Israel the water from the stone and the manna on the ground. - He freeded them from slavery in Egypt

Before God can fill you with Honey from a rock, water from a stone, or mannan on the ground you have to let him free you from Sin.

If you want freedom from sin it comes from the blood of Christ and you feel the freedom when the Holy Sprite fills your life.

Power in the Blood and healing in Your hand, started flowing when you said it is done.

That is the purpose in His plan

Was for you to be set free from sin and live a full satisfied life in christ.

The Lost in the Room

I don't know what you have done to try to satisfy they empty ness in your life. - it dose not matter to God - we all have sinned and Scripture tells us - everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved

you might be like Israel and the Jews of the new testament wanting a sign - Listen to me if you will open your mouth and heart to God - He will fill you with the best wheet and Honey from a Rock. - He will come into your life and fill you with the Holey Sprite. You wont need a sign, you will see him work in your life.
