Lord teach us how to pray…
Prayer is a dialogue between two people who love each other - God and man
3 types of Prayer
- communicating with God
- commending the “mountain”
- commending the devil
Prayer is when God talks to YOU
(prayer is like a coin, has two sides…)
the first side is God wants to talk to you in Prayer…
Why?
He desires to have fellowship with you
God knows you need direction
God knows you need assurence and comfort
He wants you to get to know Him more
How?
Bible
Holy Spirit (that is with us every second)
Through other believers
Through circumstanstes
Prayer is when YOU talk to God
The second side of the coin is that You have to talk to Him
Prayer is our lifeline to God
(some people are afraid to say something to the Lord, but in prayer we have to tell Him everything, good and bad, because He knows everything anyway, so Iliya touch this truth strongly…)
Why prayers are not unanswered?
Sin blocks the answer 1 Peter 3.12 Unbelief or doubt James 1.6 Our wrong motive James 4.3 God delays the answer
To change our character
(to produce faith, patience... and etc.. ask them what has been produced in their life, when God delayed…)
We are not ready to receive it
(example: revavil in Tri-Cities, God is preparing us for it, that’s why He delays it…)
No asking in God’s will 1 John 5.14
Ilya always ask questions on everypoint ask questions…
This Saturday try to touch that Prayer is like a fellowship with One whom we love.
