What is God’s Fear?

Fear of God – an awesome respect and reverence growing out of the greatness and the power of God

Fear of God - adoration, venerate, praise, tremble in His presence and before His Word;

Proverbs 8:13 “to fear the Lord is to hate evil;”

Joseph – God’s Fear – like what He likes, love what He loves, hate what He hates

Fear God = Scared of God

Fearing God brings…

Power over sin

Proverbs 16.6 “…by the fear of the Lord one keeps away from evil”

His loving-kindness, and blessing toward You

Psalm 103.11 For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his loving-kindness toward those who fear Him

Psalm 115.13 He will bless those who fear the Lord, the small together with the great

Fulfills desires of your heart

Psalm 145.19 He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him; He will also hear their cry and will save them
