Strong in Obedience

(muscular; immovable)

Obedience – carrying out the word and the will of another person

Are you ready to obey Him? (it’s not what you want, they way you want)

The Obedience is important

John 4:34 “My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work.”

John 6:38 “I came from heaven not to do My will, but the will of Him Who sent me.”

Matthew 7:21 (Jer) "It is not those who say unto me, 'Lord, Lord,' who will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the person who does the will of my Father in heaven."

1 Samuel 15:22 “…Obey is better than sacrifice…rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft.”

REWARD of Obedience

Exodus 19:5 “If you will indeed obey My voice and keep My covenant, then you shall be a special treasure to Me above all people; for all the earth is Mine.”

1 John 3:21-22 (NIV) Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God and receive from him anything we ask, because we obey his commands and do what pleases him.

Obedience is developed in the training school of Holy Spirit

Hebrews 5:8 (NEB) Son though he was, he learned obedience in the school of suffering, and once perfected became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him.

1 Peter 1:14 (Jer) Do not behave in the way you liked to before you learned the truth; make a habit of obedience.

2 John 6 (NIV) And this is love: that we walk in obedience to his commands. As you have heard from the beginning, his command is that you walk in his love.

Obedience is developed when ego is stepped on

Ego – no correction; closer to God; mistakes in everyone…

Obedience is developed when Christ is lover of the soul

John 14:23-24 (NIV) Jesus replied, "If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching... He who does not love me will not obey my teaching."
