Passion of God
Love – very strong affection; Agape – unconditional; Phileo – friendship; Eros – sexual
Passion – intense or outburst of emotion (zeal)
The biggest lack in this generation is love. We lack youth who are abundant (overflow) with love. Love is not sex.
Mary’s love helped Jesus on the cross. Some one cares!
~ Responsibility (requirement, obligation) to give love.
Jesus never expected you to give love without being loved by Him.
John 13:34-35
1 John 4:7-11
~ Sovereign, uncreated God is not troubled, worried, concerned, anxious, restless about anything but you.
~ God is interested (pays attention) in you as a person not because of what you can do, or become, give. (you are not tool in His hand)
~ God is real person and He longs (craves, yearns, wishes, desires) for fellowship not dead regulations.
* Jesus is passionate about you as bridegroom for bride
Ephesians 5:24 Jesus as a bridegroom; church as a bride
~ God’s passion toward you is able (capable) to fill all the gaps (hole, void, emptiness).
* No gap is too big or too small.
~ God’s great love is not without proof (evident, confirmed, demonstrated)
* unconditional love.
* the greatest love is to lay down life for someone John 15:12-14
* Rom 5:8-9 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
* Jesus is priceless gave Himself for you. Matthew 13:44-46
Level of your revelation of this passion for you will determine the level of your passion for Him.
~ Easy to obey, live, love when you are loved.
* Love is like oil to the wheels of obedience.
No one can love God as much as He loved us.
Your passion for God is a outcome of the revelation of His passion toward you.
~ Abiding in the love of God is a matter of choice not luck
* Jude 21 keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
~ You can be filled with love of God
Rom 5:5 Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
