0082 Obedience Part II

Philippians 2:5-8

Obedience – carrying out the word or the will of another person

Obedience – is a supreme test of faith in God and reverence for Him

Seas, winds, water, plants, and demonic spirits obey Him (what about us?)

Exodus 19:5 “…obey My voice…you shall be a special treasure (jewel, peculiar treasure) to Me above all people; for all the earth is Mine.”

Voice of God; * Special Treasure; * Above all;

1 Samuel 15:

Victory – is Lord’s, not yours (monument for himself vs.12)

Lord requires full (complete) obedience, not a partial (you have rejected the word of the Lord vs.23) (Saul is half hearted vs.24)

Disobedience will always blame others

The Lord delights (desires, pleasures, accepts) in our obedience

The Lord; to obey is better then sacrifice

The Lord; to pay attention is better then fat of rams

The Lord; rebellion equal to witchcraft

The Lord; stubbornness equals to idolatry

You rejected my Word, He has rejected you from being a king (ignoring the Word, is ignoring the calling, because the same Word called you into your destiny)

I FEARED PEOPLE AND OBEDYED THEIR VIOCE

HONOR ME

OBEDIENCE STARTS FROM HEARING THE VIOCE OF THE LORD

OBEDIENCE IS THE ROOT, NOT A FRUIT OF YOUR LIFE

ROOT – FEAR OF GOD

1 John 2:4 “…I know Him, and does not keep His commandments, is a liar…”

Proverbs 1:7 “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge”

SAUL FEARED PEOPLE

1 Samuel 15:24 “…because I feared the people and obeyed their voice…”

PHARISSES FEARED PEOPLE

Matthew 21:26 “…we fear people…”

OBEDEINCE CANNOT BE CAUGHT, BUT THOUGHT (LEARNED)

DAVID AND SAUL JESUS LEARNED OBEDIENCE

Hebrews 5:8 “though He was a Son yet He learned obedience by the things which He suffered (felt)”
