I died that you might live
There are two ways to please God and have everlasting life:
Meet God’s expectations.
About 300 regulations in Jewish Law and only about 30 of them are fulfilled in average Jew. Law demands righteousness but is powerless to provide it. It’s purpose is to prepare people for the coming of Jesus by making them conscience of their sin and need of Savior. Sin is missing the mark of God’s expectations. Allowing somebody to meet them.
John 10:10 “I came that you will have life and more abundantly.”
Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
* Wage is like a salary it’s something deserved as a result of what you have done.
* Not to receive the wage or a salary is not right.
* To those who are on their way to hell the intro is on this earth same with heaven.
* One sin is enough to make you a sinner. Holy God cannot allow sinners into heaven, cause it’s too holy. God wouldn’t be righteous by not paying you for your sins.
* Gift is something not deserved and it’s totally free of change or it will not a gift.
John 6:53-56 “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you. Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will rise him up at the last day. For My flesh is food indeed, and My blood is drink indeed.”
* The only requirement to have life (eternal life) is to Drink the Blood and Eat the Flesh
* It’s not enough for everyone, no one did and people got saved
* First thing God commanded is not to eat animals with their blood in (Genesis 9:4)
Exodus 21:23 “But if any harm follows, then you shall give life for life.”
* Life is “soul” in Hebrew
* After you have killed somebody you have to give your own in return or a pay.
* “Whoever sheds man’s blood, by man his blood shall be shed...” Genesis 9:6
Leviticus 17:11 “For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood that makes atonement for your soul.”
* After spirit leaves the body – you stop breathing, after soul leaves the body – the blood stops to circulate or flow.
* One soul has to be given for another to redeem another soul. In the moment of that redemption the blood has to be shed.
Isaiah 53:10 “...when You make His soul an offering for sin.”
* His soul was offered for sin or our death because the penalty of sin is death when the blood was poured out.
Jesus requires of you nothing, to believe in Him is for you own benefit, nothing that you can offer to Him that could be beneficial. Exchange with Him, give Him your trying to become something and receive the penalty.
Is God in need of your salvation and your life more than you? Of course no. God doesn’t needs eternal life, He has it, you are in need of it, and He provided, so just take hold of it. TRUST Jesus for your eternal life.
