Israel was now ready to face new enemies by seeing previous enemy being drown
Baptism is a symbol (Romans 6)
The cross is symbol of Christiany and the flag is symbol of USA
Wedding ring is symbolic of the person being united with another
- Young man looking for young lady and sees the ring he will back of (not because of it’s beauty but becomes of it’s power)
- Sees the ring but knows she doesn’t belong to her husband he will pursue her (because the ring is fake, it means nothing to her so, as to him)
- Sees the ring but knows that the lady is divorced he will pursue her (because the ring is powerless for it represents is absent)
- Symbol looses it’s power when what it represents is absent
Baptism in going down into the water is symbolic of being buried with Christ
- You cannot be buried unless you are dead, or else you will come out of there
- Death to self is putting the will of God above yours
Baptism in going up from the water is symbolic of being resurrected with Christ
- There is no crown without the cross; no price without the cost; no gain without pain; no victory without the fight
- First goes death and then resurrection.
- Being not just united with Christ in His birth, obedience, filled with the Holy Spirit, overcoming temptation, anointing, having relationship with the Father, being the Son, persecution, death, burial, but aloes in His resurrection
