The gaze of the soul

Is your pursuit catching up with His blessing? When I had nothing He was everything

Pursuit is never easy and satisfying because where there is pursuit there is a loss (ex. hunger)

God finds more pleasure in our pursuit of Him then us in His manifest presence

God hiding His face is giving us opportunity to seek Him; God hides where He can be found

Intimacy brings about blessing, while blessing will not bring about intimacy

Don’t allow the nickel “blessing” to block the sun “Jesus”

Finding the blessing will never make you thirstier but finding God will make you blessed and thirstier

Moses hungered after being blessed because hungered after God not after but the blessing

Knowledge of God will not bring about intimacy while intimacy will bring about knowledge of God

Pursuit Always Precedes Presence

Only God chasers will be able to become God catchers

From pursuit going to presence, from presence to knowing person – getting to know another person

Hebrews 12:1-2

Life is a race not a bus stop (race requires running not jogging)

Every sin, everything that is heavy, and everything that easily ensnares slows down the runner

Running with persistence

Winners never quit and quitters never win

Running from something/somebody by not looking at it/him (Illustrated through Lot)

Running into Jesus by looking at Him

To see is to believe (John 3:14-15)

Looking unto everything else but not Jesus

Looking unto Jesus brings healing

Cannot see Christ while looking at self

Root of new age and other occult

We put Christ before world

We look at the world through Christ
