Three Levels in Life

~ Not enough

~ More then enough

Psalm 34:10

The young lions are in not enough and they suffer as the result of that

Seeking God out of abundance and being hungry out of lack

God is not God of lack

God wants His children to share what He has Hunger, thirst, and lack are not blessings but curses (Deut.28:48) Famine was a result of sin (Saul’s sin; Elijah and Elisha times) Famine makes people leave their place and wonder (Ruth, Abraham) Famine brings loss and causes people to go away from God instead of to God

God is God of more than enough

God’s name is Jehovah Jireh and El Shaddai God is destroyer of not enough; provides during famine for righteous (Ps.33:19), Isaac in land of Philistines, Joseph in the land of Egypt, and Elijah during three year famine Father’s house is described by Jesus as house of enough bread even to spare (Luke 15) Heaven is the place of no hunger and thirst (Rev.7:16-17)

How to receive abundant life?

Purpose of Jesus’ coming to GIVE the life of more than enough (John 10:10) ~ we cannot live to give unless we first receive The root of abundant life is inward and the fruit is outward Fountain of water – the new born experience represents life (John 4:13-14) Rivers of living water – overflowing fullness of Spirit-filled life represents abundance (John 7:37-39) Abundant life comes out of the relationship with God (Ps.23:1; John 15; Deut.2:7)
