Who is in your boat
Who is in your boat will determine where your boat will be
Storms in life is the true reality
In storm – awake Jesus (Luke 8:22-25)
It’s not the wind that can awake Jesus but you
Simply ask Him “you don’t have because you don’t ask” James 4:2
“Come to Me, all of you who are tired from carrying heavy loads, and I will give you rest” Mt. 11:28-30
Water didn’t disappear but storm did after Jesus rebuked the storm
In storm – dump Johan (Jonah 1)
Our solution is always trying to get rid of the wrong things
God’s solution is not to sanctify Jonah but to throw him out
Do not worry because God will take care of Jonah and you
Jonah – relationship, career, music, religion and everything else that God told you get rid of
If you don’t dump Jonah, Jonah will destroy you
In storm – invite Jesus (Mt.14:22-33)
Jesus is walking toward your boat
Zacchaeus invited Jesus into His boat and the storm stopped (Luke 19:1-10) ~ Jesus went after him first
Jesus is walking toward you because He knows you need Him because your boat has holes and is sinking
Don’t walk to Jesus (salvation by works) you will sink but let Jesus enter in (salvation by grace)
“Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me” Rev.3:20
You can endure the earthly storm by throwing out Jonah but the only way to endure the heavenly storm is to have Jesus in the boat
