It was God’s love that put bread in barns but it is your prayer that will open those barns (Gen.41:55-57)
God made provision before the years of famine (Rev.13:8 – Lamb slain before the foundation of the earth)
SOZO – complete salvation (salvation to the spirit, soul and body)
SOZO – prophesied (Joel 2:32) – ask and you will receive
SOZO – salvation for the spirit (Mt.1:21; Rom.10:13) – born into the family of God
SOZO – deliverance & healing for the soul (Luke 8:36) – healing for the heart
SOZO – healing for the body (Mark 5:34; James 5:15) – physical healing
Israel’s salvation involved deliverance, healing & restoration
Prodigal’s sons acceptance involved total restoration
Cheese and crackers while his bill involved everything else

Man went from Jerusalem to Jericho – Leaving God through disobedience as prodigal son
Man fell among thieves – Falling into the hands of the enemy of our souls
Man stripped of clothing – Loss of righteousness
Man wounded – Emotional hurts caused by divorce, rape, molestation, abuse, rejection, control or scary experiences
Man left alone & half dead – Spiritual warfare is not needed for his rescue
Priest & Levite passed him by – Law demands righteousness but powerless to provide it (light reveals but not cleans)
Good Samaritan – Labor of salvation not just the performance of leading
Samaritan journeyed on the same path as the others Bandaged his wounds Poured wine and oil Set him on his own animal Brought him to the inn
Is Jesus satisfied with the results of His sufferings while everyone still suffers? (Is.53:11) – We determine if life of suffering of Christ is in vain or not in vain
Healing is possible through the wounds (hurt, injury, stripe) of Jesus for us and the humanity (Is.53:5)
Healing is compared to the cleansing of the Temple (John 2:13-17)
Healing is compared to the children’s bread, it’s to the believer but also is given to the unbeliever (Mt.15:21-28)
