Dating God
Dating Date?
Dating creates world of hatred and jealousy Dating is not sin but leads to sin Dating prepares for marriage (divorce); does not hurt (relationships); profitable (wasted seed) Divorce is separating what God united and is abomination to God (Mal.2:15-16) Dating is shopping while being broke & growing in waste Anything that is done in wrong time, with wrong person and with wrong motive is sin
Sex is not sin but with wrong person it’s adultery “Samson” - eyes plucked & death (2 Cor.6:14) Sex with wrong motive it’s rape “servant of Levite” - tribe of Benjamites destroyed Sex in wrong time it’s fornication “Amnon” - ruined both lives Lust in mind to God is as sex in bed to you (Mt.5:27-30)
Dating Maker?
Dating is intimacy without commitment God is not looking for a date but for a bride (Rev.19:7-8; 21:9; 22:17) You are dating your own imagination not God
Dating is not Devotion! (Col.3:17, 23-24)
Marriage is the best shadow Christ’s relationship with Church Devotion is not prayer, reading Bible or fasting, these are acts of devotion but not devotion itself
Husband is as devoted to his wife in bed as he is in work You are as devoted to God in the prayer closet as you are outside of the prayer closet You cannot be devoted without doing the acts of devotion but you can do the acts of devotion without devotion itself Acts of devotion without devotion itself makes one sick (Rev.3:16 “vomit you out”)
Lack of devotion of wife is noticed when she talks to & about another & her passion shrinks Israel did godly acts without devotion – (Is.1 “I had enough of offerings” “I do not delight in blood” “why trample My courts?” “do not bring worthless sacrifices” “incense is an abomination to Me” “I can’t endure your meetings” “celebrations My soul hates, they are trouble to Me I am weary of bearing them” “when you pray I hide My face”) Pharisees did godly acts without devotion – (Mt.23; Luke 18:11; Mt.15:8-9 “prayers, fasting, witnessing, thither, drew to God, honored God, in vain”) It’s possible to do things of God without doing them for God and do things of the world for God No devotion outside of the house will cause no intimacy in the house Devotion is abiding on the vine (John 15:1-8) Separation between religion and social life is a sign of no devotion (Col. Prayer & fasting is as acceptable to God as anything else if it’s done in spirit of devotion
