decisions determine destiny
Decisions determine destiny (Deut.30:19)
God made destiny and directions to it (Jer.29:11)
We will not reach God’s destiny by being parked at the parking lot
We will not reach God’s destiny by being led by feelings instead of directions
If God has a plan for my life it has to be within the four walls of the church
Did God have plan for Joseph, Daniel, Ester, Samson or Ezra?
You determine your destiny
God chooses those that choose Him
It doesn’t matter what I do if I am destined to salvation I will be saved (John 3:16)
Destiny was in the hands of Judah & Peter (Mt.18:14)
Your decisions affect other people
Adam’s & Jesus’ decision affected humanity: death, pain, sickness, and etc
David’s decision affected his family
Some of us live under the affects of other peoples decisions
Every wrong decision has a consequence while every right decision require discipline
Decision to follow God have price
Abraham (Gen.12:1); Moses (Heb.11:23-29); Matthew (Mt.9:9-13); Peter (Mark 1:17-18); Rich ruler (Mark 10:21)
If you don’t discipline your flesh, your flesh will discipline your life
Decisions not follow God have consequence
Play now and pay later or pay now or play later (grasshopper and old ant)
You will sow what you reap (Gal.6:7)
It’s hard to make a wrong decision when you look to the consequence of it (Heb.11:23-29)
Esau’s decision had a consequence
Indecision is decision
We know what happens to people who stay in the middle of the road. They get run over
When you have to make a choice and don’t make it, that is in itself a choice
If you don’t make your own decisions someone else will
Wrong decisions ruin us while good ones reward us
Saul was Israel’s choice (1 Sam.8:7, 9, 18 and 22)
Saul robbed the lives of Israel (1 Sam.8:1-17)
David is God’s choice (1 Sam.16:1)
We suffer consequences of decisions that were not made on time
Wrong choice because of impatience (1 Sam.13:8)
God already had a king for them but they couldn’t wait
They didn’t need a king because they had a prophet
Some decisions are made too late after us knowing what to do
Wrong choice because of refusal to be different (1 Sam.8:5, 20)
We can’t say we want to be like other nations without first saying I don’t like to be like Jesus (1 Sam.12:12)
It’s always nice to know when someone wants to be like you
We want to be like the people God destroyed (Deut.8:20)
The people you want to be regret what they have become
You will not elevate but lower yourself by not being different then them (Deut.26:19; 28:1)
Crowd doesn’t care about you (Mt.20:29-34)
Formula to fail: please everyone
God could but wouldn’t force you to follow Him
Devil can’t make you follow him either
No one will be forced into hell or into heaven
Three most important decisions you will need to make in teenage yours
Vocation
Marriage
Salvation (85% of people that ever get saved they do it by time they are 18)
Crowd says follow us; cross follow me
Crowd says rely on yourself; cross says rely on me
Crowd says earn your worth; cross says I am your worth
Crowd says bear your burdens; cross says nail them to me
Crowd says be happy; cross says be holy
Crowd says if it feels good do it; cross says for loves sake endure it
Crowd says honor yourself; cross says humble yourself
Crows says do; cross says done
