Throwing Stones
Stephan was killed by stoning Acts 7
Shimei threw stones at David (1 Sam.16:5-14)
David was at the lowest pit of his life
David deserved to be stoned because of the loss he caused to Shimei
David deserved to be stoned because of the sin of adultery
by throwing stones at someone in the pit today you are teaching others how to treat you tomorrow when you will get there
Saul was showing David how to treat him when gets in a pit you never know who you’re throwing stones upon
if only Pharisees knew whom they were stoning if only brothers of Joseph knew whom they were stoning when stoned do not stone back
do not take God’s shoes for they are too big David had opportunity to throw at Saul after being almost killed by him
Pharisees were trying to throw stones on sinful woman (John 8:1-9)
You can throw stones at sinners only when you are not one of them
Why are you so zealous about them getting what they deserved?
Passion for holiness is not condemnation of others but in living holy life yourself
If you would truly love them will not stone them because it becomes impossible for them to get out
You look as bad in God’s eyes as that person in yours
Jesus is the only One having right to stone her but He didn’t
Stoning people in authority
Stoning people under authority
Stoning people in pit
Stoning people in sin
Remember Job’s friends who threw stones upon him in the day of his trouble and God threw stones upon them “cursed them” “sickness”
What you make happen for others God will make happen for you (Judges 1)
