FRUIT IS THE GLORY OF THE FATHER
River went from the temple to the Dead Sea (Ez.47:1-12; 2Cor.6:16)
Out of belly rivers of water will flow (John 7:38)
Holy Spirit empowers to witness (Acts 1:8)
Fruitless branches are removed because they dishonor the Master (John 15:1-8)
Fruit is the glory of God while barrenness is the shame to God
Fruit is CHARACTER
Fruit is integrity (Is.5:1-7 – justice & righteousness; Gal.5:22-23 – fruit of the Spirit)
God looks at the heart but man look at actions (1Sam.16:7)
God looks at the root but man looks at the fruit (Mt.7:17-20)
You know God through the word but they know God through your actions
We should care of what others might think of Him even if we don’t care of they might say about us
Your actions affect His reputation
When they see your good works they will glorify Him (Mt.5:16)
When they see your bad works they will blaspheme Him (Rom.2:24)
Glorifying God in the Church but blaspheming Him outside of the Church
If God punishes him who causes you to sin what makes you think He will not hold accountable him who causes Him to be blasphemed? (Mt.5:27-30; 18:6)
God is not blasphemed unless you do evil nor is He glorified unless we do well
David’s adultery blasphemed God (2Sam.12:14)
Daniel’s uncompromised commitment magnified God (Dan.6:24-28)
David was despised but Daniel was honored (1Sam.2:30)
Fruit is CHANGED LIVES
Fruit is glory of the Master
Fruit unlike character is be taken away, and cannot be produced without the Vine
Fruit is what branch exists for and it glorifies the Father
Healing, deliverance, salvation, restoration, and prosperity glorifies God
Man judge gardener by the fruit of his garden
Every barren branch cannot be on the vine, because God cannot be put to shame
To desire fruit is to desire to honor God but to be satisfied without it is to desire to despise God
God will bless those who desire to honor Him and remove those who desire to dishonor Him
God will do anything to unable you to bear fruit (Luke 13:6-9)
God wants you fruitful for He doesn’t look good unless you are fruitful
Israel was spared for His name’s sake (Num.14:13-16; Ez.20:9-44)
God didn’t forsake the earth for His name sake
God defended Jerusalem for His own sake (Is.37:35)
He leads us for His name sake (Ps.23:3; 31:3)
God will revive (Ps.143:11), and pardon iniquity (Ps.25:11) for His name sake
Good son is the pride of the father but evil son is the shame to him (Prov.10:1)
Father’s reputation is determined by you as His son
