BORN TO CONQUER
1 John 5:4
Fear keeps us from fight; fight keeps us from victory; victory keeps us from dominion
Don’t be afraid of a spider
Fear involves torment, pessimism, unbelief, bondage, panic, paralyzes, freezes up, makes one a coward
Fear is False Evidence Appearing Real
Fear of popular opinion, people, treat, future, not getting married, loosing loved one, divorce and etc.
God’s command: do not be afraid. God’s promise: I am with you always
Fearing God
Some serve God because of fear instead of love
We don’t fear God we are scared of hell
We would only fear the Lord we would never be afraid of people
You can’t fear God and be afraid
You can’t have faith and fear
You can’t live in freedom and fear
What fear did to others: Adam hid from God; Abraham lied; Saul disobeyed; Israel didn’t see promise land; disciples annoyed Jesus
Jesus would hand me the soap can please?
The lion didn’t read the book
If you were born to overcome then you were born to fight
You were not born to be kept from the fight but you were born for the fight
Quit claiming the promise land and start fighting
Jesus didn’t pray to take us from the world (John 17:15)
The sign of your birth is willingness to fight
The fear of battle is the sign that you were born from someone else
Salvation is not deliverance from battles but from defeat & sin
It’s the size of the bulldog in the fight but the size of the fight in the bulldog
The way to overcome is not to be overcomed
You may not be able to change your situation but never allow your situation to overcome you
The way to overcome a difficulty is to not allow your difficulty not to overcome you
The path to the promise is paved with problems
Some say roses have thorns but I am glad that thorns have roses
Thorn cause pain, irritation, discomfort, and wounds
Difficult way leads to life but wide path leads to destruction (Matthew 7:13-14)
Your scars today will become stepping stones tomorrow
Pain fuels passion
