0206 Driving Toward Destination

DRIVING TOWARD DESTINATION

Matthew 21:1-10

Jesus is still looking for a ride to the city

City will not be moved unless Jesus is on your life

Jesus needs every family, person & church

Jesus is not using the donkey for cruise or a ride but for reaching a destination

Parked Donkey (life, family, church)

Church wasn’t meant to be parked

Others pass us by but we are satisfied with the fact that we are not going backwards (at least I don’t sin)

“As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world.” John 17:18

“Go” and stay is not the same (Mt.28:19)

Car on Neutral

Is very dangerous because you are not in control but the road condition

We wait for the shape of the road to change instead of putting gas in and moving forward

Only dead fish is moved by the current of the river

If I could only have better husband, car, house, location, job, season and etc.

Car that only drives on Reverse

Israel & Lots wife didn’t succeed by driving on reverse

You can’t put a hand to the plow and look back (Luke 9:62)

People on reverse is “past was the best” mentality

God’s people are on “best for the last” mentality

With Jesus today is better then yesterday and tomorrow better then today (John 2)

Car that drives as a result of Pushing

Car was meant to drive people not to wear them out

When you stop pushing it will get worse

Cars are not wagons

Pushing is the work of flesh; it’s taking manners into your own hands; its thinking that everything depends on you

God’s vehicle only Drive

Go is what the church is left on earth for

We don’t need Spirit if we are parked

We don’t need authority if we are neutral

With God there is no regression but only progression (Isaiah 40:31)

To Drive you need a Destination

Our destination is not to fill the car but to reach the goal

Car is given to reach to point B from point A

Our destination is our generation

We don’t know where we are going but we will see or we will just drive around

Destination of family is not just to raise financially secure children but to raise Nazarizes & deliverers

What is the goal of prosperity? What is the goal of teenager? What is the goal of church?

We can’t be content until we reach our destination
