Growing Your Cell
Good Shepherd – not the one who has the most sheep but the one who lays down his life for them
Hireling – is the one who is self-preserved. Giving is opposite of preservation
Your cell growth is proportional to your spiritual growth
The size of your cell is proportional to the size of your heart
Pray as thou everything depends upon God and work as thou everything depends upon you
Factors that DON’T affect multiplication of your cell:
Leaders gender, social status, age, marital status or education Leaders personality type
Both shy and outgoing leaders multiply their cells Leaders spiritual gifting
Factors that DO affect multiplication of your cell:
Devotional Time
Those who spend 90 minutes or more in devotions per day multiply their cells twice as much as those who spend less 30 minutes Those who pray daily for cell members are most likely to multiply their cells 3 largest cell churches hold weekly nightly prayer meetings Cells do not generate revival but keep it (structure without prayer is car without motor) Setting Goals
Leader who fails to set goals that the members remember has about a 50% chance of multiplying his or her cell. Setting goals increases that chance to 75% Cell leaders who set specific goals for giving birth consistently multiply their cells more often then goal-less leaders (know their cell multiplication date) If aim for nothing you get nothing Challenging goals have potential to produce motivation and enthusiasm If you don’t give them a goal there is no purpose in them being in the cell – Yonggi Cho I’d rather shoot at a goal and miss it then shoot at nothing and hit it Preparation For Cell Meeting
Spending time with God preparing the heart for a cell meeting is more important then preparing for a lesson Minimum of an hour before cell spending with God If you don’t invite they would not come Connecting with People
Leaders who contact 5-7 new people per month have an 80% chance of multiplying the cell There is direct connection between number of visitors in the cell and the number of times a deader multiplies his cell Cell leaders who weekly encourage members to invite visitors double their capacity to multiply their cells – as opposed to those leaders who do so only occasionally or not at all Leaders visits 1-3 people per month have 60% chance of multiplying the cell Leaders who visit 8 or more people per month have as twice as much chances of multiplying their cell as those who visit 1-2 people Cells that have 6 or more social meetings per month multiply twice as much as those who have one, or none
