THE VEHICLE
Dating is like driving. License is the parental approval. You have to be old enough and you have to pass the test.
Dating relationship is like driving a vehicle where your focus is not on the passenger but on the road
Dating relationship will be as good as you are
Successful relationship is not in finding right person but being the right person
If you knew you the way you know you would you marry you?
You can’t be a blessing unless you’re whole; you can’t be a burden unless you have holes
Jesus came to heal the broken hearted (self-image, insecurity, negativity, guilt, moodiness, perfectionist)
Happiness is the water and bucket is your heart and holes are your issues
“Do you want to be whole?” John 5:6
The more single you are the better will be your dating relationship
To be single is to be whole, unique, complete, full, or in one piece
BODY KIT – body
What is the first thing you notice about the car? Why do you like certain cars?
God doesn’t sees as man sees; man sees physical appearance (1 Samuel 16:7)
Body is the house for the soul and the spirit
Body is the house of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19)
Beauty glorifies God (Psalm 139:14)
Outward appearance is the reflection of inward substance
Dress not to reveal but to cover; not to look hot but beautiful; not to impress but to express
Does your temple needs cleaning (John 2; Matthew 21)
ENGINE – character
Don’t be a tomb: good from outside but ugly from within
You do what you do because of who you are; bad tree can’t produce good fruit
Character is the inner life of man; is what we know about us that others don’t
Reputation is who you suppose to be; character is who you are
Reputation is the photo; character is the face
Reputation is made in a moment; character is built in a lifetime
Reputation is makes you rich or poor; character make you happy or miserable
Character is the soil in which everything grows (Matthew 13:8)
Heart is the soil upon which relationships grow
Character determines the quality of life (Luke 6:45; Proverbs 4:23)
The color of the teabag is not as important as what it contains on the inside
Character is developed by choices not chances
Thought » Action » Habit » Character » Destiny
Circumstance is the mirror that reveals your character, it doesn’t necessary make it
Talent is a gift but character is a choice
TRANSMISSION – attitude
Attitude is the response to what happens to us
Attitude makes or breaks your character
Life is 10% of what happens to me and 90% of how I respond to it
Positive attitude sees cup half full and negative attitude sees the cup half empty
Positive attitude takes problem by the handle but negative attitude takes it by the blade
10 spies took obstacle by the blade and died because of their attitude
Don’t allow what you see to control what you know; don’t allow what you feel to control what you do
Change your attitude and God will change your life
Your attitude determines your altitude in life
Attitude is the librarian of our past; is the speaker of our present; is the prophet of our future; roots are inward but its fruit is outward; is our best friend or our worst enemy; is more honest and more consistent then our words; is an outward look based on past experiences; is that thing that draws people to us or repels from us
The only disability in life is bad attitude
FUEL – love
To love is to live and to live is to love
True love is like ghosts everybody talks about and few have seen
Love is not something you feel it’s someone you know (1 Corinthians 13)
The deepest need of every person is to be loved (Proverbs 19:22)
God loves but we will never know why. If you have answer for why then it’s conditional
Agape is not phileo, storge, eros, it has no obligation, no expectation, no conditions, self-giving, eternal
Love gives, so love needs a receiver
We can’t function properly without love as car can’t drive without gas
Dating relationship is not the place where you find love it’s the place where you bring love
ALTAR CALL
Who would refuse a gift, especially if it’s something you desperately need?
You are not doing God a favor by getting saved; you’re doing your self big favor
God doesn’t need you, you desperately need Him
