Master money (Matthew 6:24) If God is your Master money will be your slave. If God is king over you, you’ll be king over money We accepted Jesus as our Savior but money as our Lord. We worship our Lord, and thankful to Savior Are you telling money where to go or money telling you where to go? Greed is money controls your life
Manage money (you can’t manage what you don’t master; money is car you the driver) Have a budget (know where they are going; tell them where to go) A budget is telling your money where to go instead of wondering where it went Number of fish & people was counted Buy what you need not what you want 90% buy what they can’t afford; 40% families spend more than they earn All shopaholics – stay away from the mall and “sales” God will meet your need but not your greed (Matthew 6:25-34) Stay away from credit card debt 60% of people don’t pay their credit card debt On average the typical credit card purchase is 112% higher than if using cash Average American has from 2,000 to 8,000 credit card debt “Owe no one anything…” Romans 13:8 Blessing makes us to lend to many nations but not borrowing (Deut.28:12) “The borrower is servant to the lender” Proverbs 22:7 Credit is bondage. God has a solution through creative idea (2 Kings 4:1-7) Save & invest Emergency saving ($1000) Save money for 3-6 months of expenses (49% of people can’t live a month if they lose their job) Cast your bread on waters for in many days you will find it in many days (Ecc.11:1) The parable of the talents: investors received reward (Matt.25:14-30) Invest into mutual funds, bond, stocks, & real estate Never invest into something you don’t understand
Matthew 6:19-21 One life to live, it will soon be pass, only what is done for Christ will last It’s wise to invest into eternity. It has great interest. You came naked you will leave naked You will leave this earth, move your possessions into life where you will be forever
