BREAKTHROUGH THE SKY
Matthew 7:7-11
Three types of prayers:
Asking – petition
Seeking – devotion
Knocking - intercession
There levels in prayer:
Outer Court – flesh (body)
Inner Court – soul (feelings and thoughts)
Holy of holies – spirit (river of living water is flowing)
The higher you go the lower things become
Prayer is struggle and you win by not giving up
Ask for Bread (seeking)
God gives us bread but we have to go out and pick it up
Bread of life not just any kind of bread
Ask for the bread for a generation
It’s not enough to have a TV, cells, but to impact a generation
It’s not enough impress few kids but to impact a generation
People are desperate for change they need bread. Bethel – house of bread
Ask for Fish (knocking)
Pray to the Lord of harvest to send out laborers to His field
Praying can’t substitute preaching. You can’t pray when house is on fire
Ask for Good Things (asking)
Evil people don’t give good gifts; they don’t even give gifts at all
God is not against you having things but against things having you
