Teabag
THE LABEL: reveals the taste (Prov. 22:1) - DAVID
We choose the tea by looking at its label not by reading it’s description
Labels are important (Gen.12:2 – Abraham; 1 Chr.17:8 – David; Phil.2:9 – Jesus)
Timothy was well spoken of by the brethren (Acts 16:2)
Reputation is the first characteristic of leadership (Acts 6:3)
Names have power (Jesus)
Change of heart will result in change of name (Abraham, Sarah, Jacob, Peter)
Label brings trust and opportunity (EBay, Auto, Food, Clothing, Stars)
Label is earned not given (by many actions but could be lost by one) (1 Chr.11:20 “names are won”)
Label is based on past and present not future
Good men must die but death can’t kill their names; tigers die but leave their names
Label is your reputation, your shadow, or your photo
THE BAG: contains the taste (1 Sam.16:7) - DAVID
The color of the bag doesn’t determine the taste of the tea
Physical appearance doesn’t contribute to happiness or success
Size and color of the bag is not as important as what it contains on the inside
What is inside of the bag makes the taste of the tea (Luke 6:45)
Quality of life doesn’t depend on life
Quality of life doesn’t depend on talent
Quality of life does depend on quality of the heart (Prov.4:23)
THE WATER: makes the taste (1 Pet.1:6-7) - DAVID
Only hot water brings the worst of the teabag (Israel)
Only hot water brings the best of the teabag (Joseph, David, Job, Three Jewish boys, Jesus)
No one knows what bag contains but hot water reveals it
Until teabag goes into hot water, he remains useless (John 12:24)
We don’t keep teabag in water forever in hot water
