Facts on Tongues: 1. Jesus didn’t speak in tongues but every NT writer did (Mark 16:17) 2. With tongues we speak to God not to men (1 Cor.14:2). Tongues are not for preaching 3. When tongues are directed to people they must be interpreted (1 Cor.14:6-19) 4. Tongues without interpretation are for personal edification (1 Cor.14:4; Jude 20) 5. Tongues are both earthly and heavenly languages (1 Cor.13:1; Acts 2:6) 6. With tongues we speak mysteries (1 Cor.14:2) 7. Tongues don’t make you a zombie

Speaking in Tongues: (Acts 2:4) They were filled with the Holy Spirit They began to speak with other tongues as Spirit gave them utterance Faith receives and fear repels. Fear of making it up

PRESENCE “When the Spirit comes upon you” Holy Spirit was with people, He wasn’t in them but on few He came down Holy Spirit came upon: Gideon (overcome an enemy), Samson (did impossible), Saul (will be turned into another man), David (defeat a giant), Mary (give birth to promise), Jesus (led to testing to power) - Presence brings satisfaction. No presence creates craving. World offers counterfeit to presence - Do not be drank with wine but be filled with Spirit - Zacchaeus was changed when presence came in His life (title, economic, social status) - Presence is gas to a vehicle, water to the fish, oxygen to the body

POWER “You shall receive power” - Woman had issues, issue with blood, she touched the Presence of Jesus and Power flowed out of Him - Presence of Jesus gives power to overcome the issues and sins

PURPOSE “and you shall be witnesses to Me” - The purpose for presence is power, purpose of power is to help you fulfill your purpose - Your purpose is impact a generation not to be famous. Riches are tools not purpose

CELL TIME: - Are you experiencing the Presence of God in your life? If not than what’s stopping that? - Are you living life of overcomer? If not than in what things you still get defeated in that you need prayer for? - How are you fulfilling your purpose?
