The City

God is concerned with cities Sodom & Gomorrah – great outcry against it; not enough of righteous Jericho – city shut up; city conquered by waiting, walking and not talking Nineveh – great city; wickedness has come before God; belief, fast, repentance of the whole city Jonah 3:5

Jesus is concerned with cities Nazareth – Jesus born at, Jesus rejected at first, Jesus surprised because of unbelief Jerusalem – the city was moved; Jesus wept over a city because it didn’t know time of visitation Samaria – the whole city came to Jesus Jesus rebuked cities where His power was manifested Matthew 11:20 “fire for fields” Power for Jerusalem, Judea, and Samaria Acts 1:8
