Dearly Beloved, we are gathered here today in the presence of these witnesses, to witness symbolism of the future, glorious, majestic wedding between our Savior whom Miguel tonight represents and Church the Bride of Christ whom Anna reflects so beautifully this evening. This is not an official real wedding but only a small shadow of the wedding that we were invited to be apart of. Marriage was instituted by God and can’t be overthrown by men.
In heaven we will be married, yes we will be. Divine with human. Holy with sinful. God with humans. Christ with you.
Revelation 19:7-9 Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready.” And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints. Then he said to me “write: blessed are those who are called to the marriage super of the Lamb!
Matthew 22: 1-8
It’s a feast
Kingdom is not funeral because Jesus is alive. Because He lives, you will live
We don’t celebrate because we don’t have problems but because they are second
Peace is not absence of war but presence of Jesus
Paul in jail says rejoice in the Lord always, I say rejoice. Rejoice when they persecute you. Nehemiah – joy. Paul.
Invitation
We don’t invite him, He invites us. Gospel is God initiates and you respond
You can’t invite yourself. Your interest is not sufficient.
God is the initiator, we are responders. God initiated creation and salvation (Adam, Cain, Abraham, Moses, Peter)
You don’t really seek God, you only respond to His seeking
Before a man can seek God, God must first have sought man
Wedding
Work over wedding (eating, laughing, talking, listening, dancing)
Come to place where the work has been done for you
Christianity is tiring if grace is not center of your life. Come to me all who are tired I will give you rest
You can’t work and be at the wedding at the same time
God is delivering you from work of the law into the work of His Son
1 Peter 1:6-9 “In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ, whom having not seen you love. Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, receiving the end of your faith — the salvation of your souls.”
2 Corinthians 2:13-14 “I had no rest in my spirit, because I did not find Titus my brother; but taking my leave of them, I departed for Macedonia. Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place.”
