GET ON THE RIGHT BUS
Matthew 7:13-14
I. YOU CAN’T GET TO THE RIGHT PLACE BY GETTING ON THE WRONG BUS
Dreams don’t determine destiny, decisions do! Decisions connect dreams with destiny
Illustration: I got on the wrong bus – ended up at the wrong place
You don’t end up where you wish but where the bus you choose takes you
Choices not charm affects our destiny (youth pastor that fell, who got who girl pregnant)
Decisions not good intentions determine destiny
II. THE ONLY WAY TO FIND THE RIGHT BUS IS TO ASK WHERE IT’S GOING
Your life is transit station with many options
How do I tell apart between the right bus, since they all look the same?
The right bus is not the one you like but the one that gets you to your destiny
Wide door, broadway (doing what you want and still being on the path), majority leads to destruction
Narrow path is like a highway, no one complains that it’s too narrow, it leads to life
Choose a path based on its destination not on what it allow you to do (IF YOU CAN DO ANYTHING IT’S A DESERT)
Choose a path based on its destination not on who is on it (WHERE THERE IS TRAFFIC IT PROBABLY LEADS TO HELL)
III. THE BUS IS NOT A TAXI
You can’t tell the bus driver where to go DRUGS & STEALING DON’T LEAD TO RICHES
You choose decisions, decisions choose destiny (God doesn’t, you don’t, life doesn’t, decisions do)
You don’t tell the bus driver where to stop (taxi - you can stop when you want too is it true?) GAMBLING and PORN
You don’t like where the bus is going don’t wish for a magical transformation of the bus!
Revelation 2:21 “And I gave her time to repent of her sexual immorality, and she did not repent.”
