Isaiah 40:31 “But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faith.”
Wait – look patiently, expect, tarry, wait, look, gather together
Waiting on God changes us
Renew – change, alter, cut off, go forward, grow up, be over – Moses, Jacob, big truck hitting you
It’s the way strength is imparted to us
Disciples waited upon God’s power
Waiting on God empowers you to overcome limitations
God’s potential is activated
It’s living in heaven
It’s living overcoming limitations
It’s living by the Spirit of God
Not waiting on God makes you do everything in your own strength
Lean on God not on your understanding – the wise man who leaned on contracts
When we don’t wait upon God our flesh becomes our spouse instead of our slave (Hagar)
CALL TO ACTION:
1. Do not settle in limitations
2. Maintain expectancy in your heart
3. Pray out of place of waiting
