Priests had to be humans and taken from among men So that they can feel and have compassion, God is not human, he wanted someone to represent them who is fully human – they were to have compassion on the humans Jesus on earth was in training for job in heaven – He knows temptation, rejection, pain, betrayal, shortage….to represent God Jesus didn’t not need to be human Jesus doesn’t only know how it feels, but He can help, be of good cheer, I have overcome the world

Being a high priest was a place of honor Nagging and protecting the humans is anything but place of honor. He withdraws only, never deposits He doesn’t represent God’s interest but mine Felt bad for person who had to represent us… Who can separate us from the love of God. Many rivers can’t quench it.
